ding dong, exactly. I love the subtlety of these two names so much :^)
It does make a lot of sense if Emma's gets her magic from True Love which is pure it could explain why it's white magic. If Lily is to represent Lilith she could be pure in the form of something darker. It would make her Emma's antithesis.

I watched the ep only once but I found very interesting how when Lily was revealed as a liar we found out that her name is actually Lilith? I thought that was quite symbolic, in a way: purity vs night creature/monster
This is what makes me a super weirdo...I don't see Lily as a complete liar. Yes she said she had no family but in her eyes she didn't. Lily didn't feel like she belonged in that family. She felt more bonded and connected to Emma in the short about of time than her own family. She had people who loved her and would take care of her but she didn't have the feeling of family. I understand that feeling. My father is my family but there are times I don't feel like he is because of his behavior and actions.
I love the lore of Lilith. I know the Jewish one best. First wife of Adam, created out of earth just like him,fought all the time with him, wanted to be on top, called out God's name and leaves Adam. Gets chased down by 3 angels and disobeys God by not returning but strikes a deal. Later demonized and turned into everything from the first vampire, demon and succubus. I see how Lily could be a representation of Lilith. She rebelled against her own family but dragged back. To Emma her being a liar makes her into one of the worst possible people she could associate herself with.

Although... is she going to be in a major role? I know she's coming back, but maybe I missed a spoiler for how long, because I thought it was only briefly.
If she IS a Big Bad though, then that totally could work! Imagine she gets restored somewhat by the second curse maybe, or... if she's the Black Fairy and gets her wand back somehow, or something, I dunno, but that could definitely tie in with Will and the main plot as well.
