The unspeakable bond between an exceed and a dragon slayer is unmatched. Seeing all of their bonds actually made me want my very own exceed partner.

Another Dragon ft Twin Dragons (Sting Eucliffe and Rogue Cheney)
A/NAfter an eternity I have finally made the first step to hopefully update again; again sorry it took so long I had a pretty big test and then we had a police situation so it just get getting more and more delayed but anyhow here it is!
Reader here is replaced by Dokucha which stands for reader in Japanese to ensure the enjoyment of both reader and oc character readers!
Consider Leaving me a Coffee : )
"And then he blew him away! There really is no stopping the twin dragons of sabertooth!" Lector finished, he had spent the last few minutes giving Frosh a rundown of their latest mission, even though said exceed had been on that exact mission with him just hours prior.
"Frosh thinks so too!" They exclaimed, skipping next to Lector; no matter the topic or what was being spoken, they were always thrilled to hype the red Exceed up, especially when it came to their favorite dragon Slayers.
"Huh?" they wondered, eyes set on something nearby, a panicked look on their face as they realized what said thing was, or rather, who.
"Lector, Lector!"
"And- huh, what is it, Frosh?"
"Frosh thinks Dokucha is sad," Frosh mumbled, a pink paw pointing at the small figure huddling under one of the guild's tables.
The two exceeds promptly approach the table, peeking under and glancing at the child. They were hugging their knees tightly to their chest, their head buried deeply into their legs in an attempt to make themselves smaller, a scaly tail wrapped around them for what the exceeds could only guess was extra comfort.
"Dokucha-San?" Lector probed, a nervous, wobbly smile on his face as a paw tapped the kid's feet in an attempt to nudge them out of their cocoon.
"Leave me alone!" they sobbed, pulling their feet away from the exceeds reach much to their surprise as the two jumped away. Startled, they glance at each other before their wings sprouted and they quickly glided away.
"Rogue, Rogue!"
"Sting-kun, Sting-Kun!"
-
Now in the same place that the exceed where minutes before, now stood the twin dragons of sabertooth, they glanced at each other before glancing down at the table. Before Sting kneelt down to get a closer look at the child, who, although no longer crying, seemed to have no intention of leaving their safe spot.
“Yo! Dokucha!” He called, his usual grin on his face as he made himself known, only for his smile to fall slightly as he received no response.
“C’mon! Must be lonely down there!” He tried again, His jaw falling to the floor as Dokucha turned themselves around, their back to the Light dragon as their scaly wings wrapped them as if they were curtains separating themselves from the master of the guild.
Glumly, he stood back up, turning to Rogue with a pout at the rejection; shaking his head, Rogue could not help to let out a chuckle at the situation before he activated a magic circle, the shadows beneath the child shifting before seemingly taking different shapes, taking the attention of the child as they took a small peek from the safety of their cocoon.
“When you are ready, I will be here,” Rogue called curtly as he sat down.
And so he waited, Sting soon joining him, kneeling next to the shadow user as Dokucha slowly but surely inched their way closer to the pair, eyes fixated on the shadows that gently morphed themselves into shapes of all kinds.
Although the pair seemed to have found equal footing with the saddened child, the tranquil atmosphere surrounding them made them forget the fact that a guild would never remain in such a state, as a loud argument soon broke out, sudden shouts rattling the child once again as they barraged into the shadow user with a shriek, sobbing soon after following.
Sting let out an annoyed huff, bouncing up and gesturing for Rogue to follow.
“Should be easier if we do it in the office,” he surmises
Rogue could only let out a sigh as he gently lifted himself up, lodging the sobbing kid on his hip, as he followed after the young master.
It had taken quite a while for both of them to soothe them, but eventually, with the help of their magic, they had managed to get her to a more or less neutral state. Sitting on Sting’s lap, who they had switched to sometime in between the chaos, playing with his earring.
“Soo, why were you crying ‘bout?” Sting, never one for subtlety, blurted out only to get a shrug in response as they continued giving the earring gentle taps, watching the crystal swing back and forth.
“Dokucha,” Rogue called sternly, a frown on his face at their silence.
“We are not able to help you if you do not tell us what troubles you.”
"Kids don't wanna play with me again," they mumble softly, eyes still trying to fixate themselves on the swaying of the earring, missing the way the twins' dragon eyes soften at their words.
"Want me to beat them up for you?" Sting piped up only to let out a hiss as Rogue slapped him on the head without straying his sight from Dokucha.
“What happened?” Rogue questioned
"They got scared off, I look too scary to be able to play with them," Dokucha continued.
"Dokucha, if they aren't willing to gather the courage to include you, then they aren't worth you concerning yourself about. Cowards like them aren't good friend material," Rogue sighed.
"But I want to play with the other kids! I don't care if they secretly hate me, I just want to be part of the game for once! Maybe if I didn't look like a monster, maybe they would play with me," They cried out, looking down at their scaly features with tears filling their eyes. Their attention snapped to the blonde as they felt the familiar pressure of his Dragon force being activated.
"You aren't much different from us, Dokucha. Last I remember, you called me big brother and not a monster. " Sting softly teased, positioning them on their lap so that they were facing him as he grabbed their hands, stroking them softly before bringing them to his face, rubbing them on his dragon scales to drive his point home.
"You aren't the only dragon around," Rogue called.
"It's not the same, Sting-nii, ROgue nii, everyone calls you heroes, and everyone loves you guys."
"It wasn't always like that; when I was a child and even until a few years ago, I was in the same position"
"Rogue-nii was?" Dokucha questioned, brushing away stray tears as they turned around to look at the shadow-user who let out a thoughtful hum.”
"I was even less socially inclined than I am now; my magic wasn't very welcomed by society either; eventually, I ended up making some questionable relationships back then. I tried making myself different to try to fit in; I even changed my name back then in order to be better received."
“Back then when I parted with Weisloggia I was on my own for a long time as well, like Rogue people weren’t a fan of our type of magic and always laughed at me when I told him how Weisloggia had taught me; I did teach them a lesson” Sting began, letting out a proud snicker at the memory of proving the people wrong.
“I didn’t have anyone until I met Lector and later on Rogue and Frosh; even then, it took a few years more until we could actually call each other friends,” Sting continued, beginning to bounce the dragon-like child on his leg.
“Eventually, we had managed to make many acquaintances by understanding and looking after each other; this guild has changed quite a lot since we first joined it,” Rogue explained.
“Frosh thinks so too!” The little frog-like exceed exclaimed, flying into Rogue’s hands, who, although he had been shocked by Frosh's sudden arrival, eventually let out a gentle smile, petting the exceed’s head.
“Don’t worry, Dokucha-kun, you are a proud sabertooth member; anyone would be lucky to be your friend!” Lector boasted.
“It might take a while for you to find some real friends, but I can assure you the waiting will be worth it,” Rogue assured Dokucha, ruffling their head, careful not to disturb their little horns.
“But who will I play with me in the meantime?” They mumbled apprehensively
“With me!” Sting cheered, throwing them up in the air, letting his own laugh free as they let out a laughing squeal as they did
“But Sting-nii, you are always busy getting scolded by Rogue-nii to work!” They wondered, only to tilt their head, confused as the Light dragon gave them a mortified look whilst his Darker companion couldn’t help but let out a snicker at this.
“Don’t worry, Dokucha-san! You can play with us while Sting-kun and Rogue-kun are busy!” Lector piped in.
“Frosh thinks so too!” Frosh exclaimed, hopping in glee, little paws raised in excitement.
