18. Have you ever done something morally wrong? If it’s morally wrong do you regret it?
Wellson has done a great many things that are morally grey (or just plain wrong). From arming insurgents with illegal armaments, to executing dubious missions with shaky legality, to frequenting prostitutes, to executing a war crime … he has engaged in such behavior. But it is not without personal cost; these things trouble him greatly. He abhors that he has participated in these activities, and has lost sleep over them. He regularly engages in self-harm in a futile attempt to cope with the feelings and emotions his actions (and memory of those actions) have conjured. Wellson views himself in a very harsh and unfavourable light, and justifiably so.
A reckoning will occur someday. A person cannot outrun the law – human or divine – forever.
