Melissa fact of the week #9

In Yellowjackets s1, there are at least 3 blonde extras, one of them being s1 Melissa (proto-Melissa). It's the extra with the stripped shirt we saw on the plane, as confirmed by Jenna Burgess. Often mixed up with another blonde extra (second picture).

For example, in s1ep3, at the beach, it's actually the other blonde extra we see in the water, not proto-Melissa. Proof being, proto-Melissa had a visible injury on her forehead in that episode, which the extra in the water did not have.

However, the blonde extra we see in Doomcoming does appear to be the "Not Melissa" extra, but now with visibly blonder hair. So it is possible she is now supposed to be s1 Melissa, especially since she is seen hanging out with Yellowjacket #15, the way proto-Melissa used to.

Melissa fact of the week #10

As an adult, Melissa sees a "therapist" named Barbara. However, she is not a doctor, so technically not a licensed therapist. She is more of an advisor.

According to Melissa, she's extremely intuitive. Shauna agrees that Barbaras always are (sarcastically).

Melissa fact of the week #11

According to Drew Comins (executive producer), when he asked Ashley Lyle when Melissa would go "bad", she told him: "Not until Shauna feeds her part of her arm". This would imply that prior to that point, Melissa hadn't gone "bad" yet. (source)

Melissa fact of the week: According to Hilary Swank, Melissa killed Van due to a trauma response after being triggered multiple times. First, by Shauna breaking into her house and then attacking her, and later by Van when she threatened to kill her. (source)
