Favorite Quest so Far

Day 12 of the Lord of the Rings Online 30 Day Challenge

This is probably the most unfair question...there are too many quests I’ve played where I got to shriek with delight at how I got to play into the LotR canon, or was gushing over great story choices/payoffs...I don’t think I can pick a favourite. It’s harder than picking my favourite toon.

I’m not even remembering each quest I got to do that I loved doing, I feel like I should be writing up some scale, go back through all the quests and score them in order to do this...but right now I’m thinking about, if I had to go back and do a quest....I’m less impressed with tediously difficult mobs or bosses to defeat, or quests that make me do a ton of waiting/take a long time that it’s annoying on alts (where, at least if you are me, you want to hit the highlights and get your levels up quickly).

So, in light of that, the first quest that comes to mind is from the Yule Festival, the Frostbluff Theatre. For any MMO this is a really cool and unique quest (for my experience at least). I think EQ2 for the Dark Elf city, we had a similar play quest, but this one is just amazing.

From the Statler and Waldorf wannabe Hobbits, to a really cool (if biased) Hobbit take on ol’Mad Bilbo’s kidnapping adventure, I just love that there is something for everyone to do, whether audience, or actor. And I still get so nervous everytime I go in there, because I never /afk and run the risk of becoming one of the actors.
