"It shouldn't be this difficult," Owen muttered to himself, shoulders hunched over the half assembled bike while pieces of it lay scattered around his lawn. He'd read the instructions twice over and twice the piece he had just wouldn't fit, but he was certain he was doing it correctly. Trying with force to make the metal bend to his will, Owen huffed into annoyance when it fell from his fingers and rolled down the path. It wasn't until he saw the shoes of another, a few feet from where the screw that had escaped him landed, that he realised he wasn't alone. How long they had been there, he couldn't say. Instead, with an almost sheepish smile, Owen lifted his head. "Sorry, could you throw that over? Damn thing won't go where it's s'posed to."
