Summary (from Part 1: The Nature of Belief):
Jack Frost just wants to be seen. A little hard, when you're a myth among myths, and not even your fellow spirits can see you. It only gets harder when the Man in the Moon decides Jack is to be a Guardian. But how is that even possible, when the only thing that even knows you exist is a little tooth fairy? (Or: Jack's heart breaks a lot, Baby Tooth is a damn good friend, and Bunny will eventually make away like a bandit with Jack Frost.)
My Notes: OKAY. This'll probably be the only rotg fic I recommend here, bc I only had a VERY brief stint reading from this fandom, but I couldn't leave this one out, because it has quickly become an obsession for me. Apparently I am an absolute SUCKER for Jack Frost angst, because I loved his arc in the movie, but this?? Him having to deal with centuries of utter isolation, yearning for some kind of connection, for someone to just stop seeing through him... Yeah. God I love this series. And the backstory with Pitch and Emma... GODDDDD Imma be so honest, I'm not a big fan of jackrabbit, but if that's your thing this is awesome for that too! The third part is a different au which is a lot darker, but I also found it very interesting. Been designing a really cool cover for TNOB and TCOS; if anyone knows if the author is still active anywhere please lmk so I can ask permission to bind it sometime :D
