Honeypaw returned to camp after another great hunting patrol with his mentor. He carried a few mice in his jaws proudly.
The tabby tom paused at the sight of a large white molly talking with Rabbitroar. He didn't remember that cat being a part of Jaggedclan.
After dropping off his freshkill in the prey pile, Honeypaw padded over to the two mollies. "Rabbitroar? Who's that?"
The tabby warrior purred. "Hello, Honeypaw." She turned to the newcomer. "This is the sweet apprentice I was telling you about."
"Awww. Hi." The molly smiled. "I'm Frostlight."
"She's my partner." Rabbitroar purred with pride. "She'll be a great part of the clan."
"Awww, thank you." Frostlight nuzzled her gently.
I like to imagine Jack having vague memory flashbacks/nightmares of his life as Nightlight, and his ice forming echoes of his armor and spear if he loses himself in it. Because I am a sucker for angst.

Meadowsun trained Frostlight in the ways of being a Medicine cat, and the two formed a bond that was a bit like a parent and child, siblings, friends and teacher to student.
When Frostlight admitted to her mentor that she’d made a mistake in a near-death moment, and had become pregnant as a result, the two worked together to find a way to save her reputation. Meadowsun claimed the kits as his own, claiming he had thought it impossible due to his genes. He stepped down as Medicine cat to raise Frostlight’s kits, something that has been hard for both of them.
Had things been different, perhaps this happy scene could have occurred.
