So, like I told @lenoreofraven (becausethey’retheonlyonewhowillhumormyrambles) about this AU idea of Marinette singing “Into the Unknown” and “Show Yourself“ (warning, some spoilers/implied spoilers for Frozen 2) with a general sense of Marinette unlocking strengths as a Guardian that even Fu didn’t have (since, in the songs, it’s implied Elsa’s gotten far stronger) For “Into the Unknown“, it’s Marinette trying to resist temptation as she hears a far off call, but yearning to chase the voice. She’s been struggling alone in her role as Guardian, using what little she has and what the kwami can teach her to expand herself, but she’s been having dreams/visions that urge to do /something/ but she’s not sure what it is. At the conclusion of the song, she unleashes an odd Miraculous Cure without any use of a Lucky Charm, causing active miraculous to shut down on their holders (so Nathalie, Adrien, and Gabriel can’t use their miraculous at ALL, not sure if I want their kwamis dorment or not) For “Show Yourself“, Marinette finally follows her temptation, follows her instinct, to go to someplace (dunno where I wanted to have this, maybe some dimension connected to the kwamis?? dunno), following the voice as she runs to it. As she gets to the center of where the voices are, she is able to settle where each kwami’s miraculous mark is meant to go (Comb for subjugation, Earrings for Creation, etc.), which unlocks where the voice is from: herself, but also the past Ladybugs. They look to her fondly, telling her she is home, she knows she’s found. As the song concludes, with her powers growing and growing, she transforms, her suit becoming more practical (honestly, give my designer a proper costume) and echoes of the past Ladybugs (kind want her to have wings). But yes, just utterly inspired to have Marinette grow like that.
