Frozen Waters
The maelstrom was fierce as the dauntless found herself helplessly swirling round and round. Thunder crackled and the wind roared as the downpour pelted every crewman aboard the unfortunate vessel. One of the men soaked to the very bone, with water pouring off his hat behind him was the Commodore himself, barking orders.
“ Man the capstan!... .Brace up the yards! .. More speed and keep that powder dry! “
But all the orders in the word could not save the ship from crashing upon the rocks , knocking a good portion of the crew around, and sending at least two overboard to be lost at sea.
James lost his own footing and ate the deck, while cargo came free from its hold and landed atop him. And with a mighty groan , the ship nearly capsized, and came apart at once.
What happened next, James was not sure as he had blacked out some time after the cargo landed upon him.. But when he did come around he found himself on dry land... and freezing cold.
James shivered, wet as he was in the colder temperatures and managed to lift his head.
He found Gillette and Groves in similar states and their ship in badly need of repair. The materials of which they did not currently possess on board. And so, despite his state, he struck out to the Kingdom he could see from their current whereabouts, leaving Gillette and Groves in charge and commanding the crew to huddle with whatever blankets they could, as well as start a fire.
The trek was long and difficult, and each gust chilled him further to the bone but he was determined to save his crew and fix the pride of the King’s Navy. So when he did arrive , he used his name to be granted entry.

Ambivelance
you're not in love with her if yelling at her in an argument doesn't make your throat burn like you just downed six shots, you're not in love with her. if her eyes can't make you stop in your tracks and think about what you are about to say next, you're not in love with her. if her laugh doesn't make you tense up your knuckles thinking about never hearing it again, you're not in love with her. if it only hurts when she cries, you're not in love with her. if her voice can't calm your worst anxiety attacks and make you want to listen to anything she has to say, you're not in love with her. if her smile doesn't make your chet quake and your lungs shrink but feel refreshed all in one motion, you're not in love with her. if her taking her clothes off is when you pay the most attention to her, you're not in love with her at all.

The room they were seated in was furnished with gold and bright cloth tapestries. The balcony doors were wide open, letting the light over Asgard flow into the room. She sat on the chair nearest the balcony, enjoying the breath-taking view over the realm, thinking about what to say to her husband, how to bring up the matter of their mischievous son.
Odin was preparing to return to the throne room, glancing over to his wife to make sure that she was okay. She had not spoken in a while and he knew there was something on her mind. He broke the silence, “What is troubling you, my dear?” Frigga broke from her thoughts, turning to face her husband, a tight-lipped look of worry on her face.
“Our son is living in a cage, every second that he is in there he loses a piece of himself.” She turned her body to fully face the king, “You may not see it, but that glimmer of hope in his eyes, that love and beauty, it is fading every day, becoming darker as time goes on.”
He nodded, moving a couple of steps closer to his wife, “I know, but there is nothing we can do for him, he put Midgard at risk, he put his family at risk, and he put Asgard at risk. The best option for everyone is to keep him out of the way.”
She shook her head lightly, pushing out a breathy laugh, “What of Thor, or I? What of Loki? This is not the best, we are not doing our best. He needs love, love from someone like him, not of Asgard.”
The king knew instantly what she was saying, dropping the piece of armour he was holding, “We cannot, I will not allow it. That child will never come here, he will never know of its existence.” If she was even remotely unsure of the plan she would have given up by now, but there was no part of her telling her to stop.
“You will, and he must.” The queen stood from her chair, walking towards her husband, “Odin, we need her. Our son, he needs her more than you know. He is at risk of losing himself completely.” The queen was addressing the king of Asgard, pleading with hope in her eyes. Hope that he would finally give their son what he needed most.
“But Frigga, the child is just like him. If this fails, then they will become unstoppable against any power.” His tone was level, but she heard the concern in his voice. The tones of worry and fear leaking through.
“She will not fail. They will become a force to be reckoned with. We are out of options my love, for the sake of Asgard and that of our son, we must find something, no, someone, to control the tides within him.” Odin nodded, understanding where the queen was coming from, knowing what he needed to do for Asgard. “We need the girl who controls the waters. Rán.”
As much as he feared the worst, he would rather have Loki become his son once again, before he found out he was not of his blood, before the resentment. He did not want his son locked up any longer than he had to be, this option at least gave him a chance.
