// heads up
I have been working on asks and threads in the background and will put them in a queue, because my crazy work schedule, and will continue to chip away , expect replies soon .. but not too soon.. lol <3
“I’m very disappointed, chat. Very disappointed. @ashortdropandasuddenstop, I can’t believe you would lie to me like this, doll…..how could you? I found your goddamn records, Jessica. Your legal name is…….Elizabeth Swann. You thought you could lie to me but Soldier Boy always finds out.”
"Ms. Swann was the Governor’s daughter and the woman to whom I proposed marriage some three hundred years ago; I practically gave my life for her, you dolt. If you are attempting to research me, do better—try checking under Lieutenant, Commodore, or Admiral James Norrington, as that is, has always been, and will always be my name; the ranks changed throughout my extensive naval career, but the man did not."
So while my job had downtime I got some side gig work... turns out that takes way more of my attention than my normal work did , sorry for being MIA this week guys. This coming week will be better!
Sadly I gotta run errands on saturday and sunday so im not sure how much i'll be on.

Everything is torn up, food spilled everywhere, obvious paw prints going to and from the fridge and leading to the sofa where Loona is lounging.
"....oh. It was like that when I got here."
"Somehow... I highly doubt that, young lady. "
I am super strong though amiright?
Yes, I...ah..will give you that. You do have a good bit of muscle to you. Certainly where your son gets his strength from. Your point?

//I have at least 1 more I want to get done tonight but need to AFK for a bit.
"I'll take a Bacardi, thank you." He aimed a devilish look at James. "He'll have one as well."
Jack chuckled at his own cleverness.
The waiter blinked once, pen hovering over his notepad.
“A Bacardi for you, sir...” His gaze shifted uncertainly toward James.
James stared at Jack for a long moment. Then he rolled his eyes. The look of a man who was thoroughly unimpressed and secretly amused by it.
“Of course,” James drawled. “How very clever of you.”
The devilish look earned a faint shake of his head.
“For old times' sake,” he relented at last, a reluctant smile tugging at the corner of his mouth.
The waiter looked between them, clearly sensing there was a joke he wasn't privy to.
“So... two Bacardis?”
“Yes,” James answered before Jack could become any more pleased with himself. “Two Bacardis.”
“Of course, sir.”
James folded the menu shut and pointed it lightly at Jack. " Some things never change, do they sparrow? We have a deal, remember? " He had to order food
John didn’t stop Ryan from ranting even when the kid was right in his face. He listened, allowed Ryan the time to say his peace. Even then, he remained quiet as James chimed in. He glanced over his shoulder and made sure James was still shielded just in case, sending a mental order through the bond to stay put. Not that he wanted to think about Ryan causing harm, but just as a precaution.
Gloved hands remained up in a calming manner trying to settle Ryan. “I hear you.” He finally said. “And I’m also open to suggestions of how we handle him. In an ideal world, we’d all get along and be a happy family. Soldier Boy is unstable and a threat. If he tries to bring harm to James, I will retaliate. Just as I know you would if it was your sister or brother. It’s the same thing I’m trying to do here, Ryan. Keep those I love safe.”
He didn’t want to fight Ryan either and hoped it wouldn’t come to that. “We shouldn’t be fighting among ourselves anyway. It’s pointless. However, to show you I mean what I say, then I won’t do anything. On the condition you give us another option to deal with him. However, know that I don’t mess around when it comes to James’s safety and wellbeing. You may not consider us family, but James is mine. And I won’t let anyone take him away from me. Regardless of who they are.”

As both John and James say their piece, Ryan listens.
He hears James's silent question, and when John goes, "You may not consider us family," all anger flees his body like a popped balloon.
The glow in his eyes fades to sparks, the flickers out, and Ryan suddenly looks hurt. As if it hurt him to hear that they didn't know...
"You don't think...." Ryan looks down, suddenly very ashamed of himself.
Of course, of course, they don't think he considers them family; he hasn't done a good job at showing his love. Dropping off the grid, second-guessing everything they've done, and now - apparently - siding with Soldier Boy when the man has been nothing but a dick to James.
"I...." Ryan racks his brain for compromises (and ways to tell him that they were his family). If anyone had the power to read minds, his would be completely open to them, walls lowered completely; they'd see how much he cares, his guilt at being unable to properly show it, his wild thoughts on trying to contain SB.
He doesn't want James or John hurt, but doesn't want Soldier Boy trapped.
James watched the hurt wash across Ryan's face, watched the anger collapse into something far more vulnerable and for a moment, the argument no longer seemed to matter. The war. Soldier Boy. Containment. All of it faded into the background beside the realization that Ryan genuinely seemed shocked they could ever doubt whether he cared.
His expression softened immediately. Looking back at Homelander with a pleading expression before turning back to the boy.
"Ryan..."
The name came quietly, absent of reprimand or correction. Just understanding. Those bright green eyes remained fixed on him, seeing far more than the words Ryan was managing to get out.
"You don't make this easy, you know."
There was no cruelty in the observation. If anything, it was almost fond.
"How could either of us possibly know the depth of your affection when you spend so much of your time convincing us otherwise?"
James let the question hang for a moment before continuing.
"You disappear for extended periods. You isolate yourself. You carry burdens alone. When something troubles you, you retreat into your own thoughts or uplift butcher or your grandfather rather than allowing us to care about you, to help shoulder the weight. From our perspective, all we see is distance."
He shook his head slightly.
"Love cannot remain locked away where no one can see it and then be expected to speak for itself."
His voice remained gentle throughout, free of accusation.
"Had you simply told us, had you shown us even a fraction of what you have been carrying all this time, you might have spared all three of us a great deal of unnecessary heartache." He extends his arms for Ryan, for a hug. Sshh it's ok, Step dad is here
