I just saw a blog sharing her "opinion" (which I found passive-aggressive) regarding the deleted "A Place of our own" scene in Frozen 2.
And in short, "she didn't like the scene because Elsa didn't get 'enough' recognition for her sacrifices in Frozen and Frozen 2, while Anna did." Well, that's just her opinion, and I don't have to agree with it, because I was upset that they cut the scene.
Anyway, the reason I didn't reblog that opinion is simply because I want to avoid the embarrassment of creating controversy and to respect their space. I understand that people can have whatever opinion they want; they have every right to do so. However, I also want to express my opinion on the matter because I want to, and I'm in my own space:
I love the deleted scene, and it's a shame they cut it from the movie because it wasn't about "Oh, Elsa doesn't get recognition, but Anna does 😩," it was about the faith the parents had in their daughters. If in Frozen 2 they already had faith in Elsa because her mother knew she was destined for something more, and they made the journey to Ahtohallan for her and to save her, what did the parents think about Anna? What hopes did they have for her? And that's what the scene was about.
The phrase "Her love can hold up the world" goes beyond Anna's love for Elsa, because Anna was also destined for something more, not just to be a princess. Anna's power isn't something that can be seen in the same way as Elsa's; it's about love, and Anna has so much to give: love for Arendelle, love for her people, and love has sustained so much in Anna's life. Her love for her sister thawed her own heart and gave Elsa the key to thaw summer. It gave her the strength to do what was right in Frozen 2, even though she would lose everything.
But obviously that's not all; Elsa should also be recognized for it. However, I feel like people are confusing the scene with fan opinions, where, yes, it does raise awareness about Anna's actions and sacrifices. I've even mentioned this topic in my blogs, and I understand. People also need to analyze more the fact that Elsa also made sacrifices out of love—love for her sister and for Arendelle. In Frozen, she isolated herself for fear of hurting them, she separated from Anna so as not to hurt her, she discovered the truth about the past in Frozen 2, and it cost her her life. But as I said, that's not what the scene is about. It's about the hopes parents have for their daughters. If they're already mentioning Elsa, they should also place their hopes in their youngest daughter.
Perhaps Agnarr and Iduna made the wrong decisions by keeping them apart, hiding the secret of Elsa's magic, but they placed their hopes in them. Perhaps they didn't manage to cross Ahtohallan; the price of hiding secrets cost them their lives. But they knew that in the future, their daughters would do the right thing. Even from the first movie, they put their faith in Elsa because, regardless of Elsa's actions, her parents instinctively loved their daughter, and they still trusted her. But not only her, Anna too. But that... isn't as visible as it seems, and that's why the scene was there.
And spoiler alert: Before dying, Iduna saw a vision of Anna and Elsa's future and knows that they will both do the right thing sooner or later. 💗✨
~Dangerous secrets: The story of Iduna and Agnarr(2020)
I don't want to create controversy because, as I said, everyone has different opinions, but I liked the scene, and it made me understand Iduna and Agnarr's great hopes for Anna, not just Elsa.
Coming November 7th to celebrate 10 years of Frozen! Ten new and original stories by ten authors!
Dangerous Secrets. 🍁🍂✨❄️🌻
This beautiful book!🍁🍂❄️🌻✨💕
There's a ton of #Frozen2 merch out and it is all so very pretty. I opened the #LittleGoldenBook for the movie but the end bit had Elsa trying to climb the ocean from the very first teaser trailer so I didn't end up spoiling the story for myself. The Kelloggs Frozen cereal with the beautiful shiny boxes has Elsa on one side and Anna on the other. #disney #disneyfrozen #frozenii #frozen #elsaandanna #annaandelsa #disneyplus #disneyfrozen2 #littlegoldenbooks #frozenbooks #frozentoys #frozen2toys #kelloggs #cerealbox #kelloggsfrozen #kelloggsfrozencereal #cartoons #cartooncharacters (at Fred Meyer) https://www.instagram.com/p/B41KmO1BDpM/?igshid=1x9ldhm3r9xtq

Frozen: Polar Nights
At last! We have an updated book summary!! Feel free to share this one around, analyze it, etc.! :) Cover reveal should be soon! (And wait until you see it! It's really cool!)
Anna, Queen of Arendelle, has been tirelessly preparing for the Polar Night’s Celebration that is held every year to welcome the time when the sun doesn’t rise in the Polar Circle. She has been working so hard, her fiancé Kristoff suggests she take a night off to visit her sister Elsa, the Snow Queen. Anna loves the idea. Accompanied by Kristoff, Sven, and Olaf, Anna reunites with Elsa in the Enchanted Forest. After telling spooky stories around the campfire, Olaf swears that one of the creatures of their tales has come to life! Who else is responsible for the sudden onset of storms and the earlier than normal darkening of the skies? Why else is everyone starting to become so forgetful? Anna and Elsa join forces to determine what is going on. Together they recall Kristoff’s terrifying tale about a princess who turned into a draugr―an undead creature that steals memories in an effort to make others forget the misdeeds it committed when it was alive. Is it possible that Kristoff inadvertently unearthed memories of a draugr, and thus unleashed the monster upon Arendelle? Anna and Elsa must uncover the real story behind the tale before everyone in Arendelle forgets who they are and is cast into darkness forever….
