I don't have time to do anything nicer this year, so Happy St. Valentines, all you lovely freaks!
I hope you're taking care of yourself whether you're alone, with someone, or just need to feel loved, you've got this!

Medieval version of our Joker, ain't he cute?
Within the medieval version of our au, the Joker is the Dark Knight's companion of nightly justice, and during the day, the personal jester of King Bruce.
Since the early tragedy of Bruce losing his parents, he studied and trained hard to be ready to become king, his trusty advisor Alfred Pennyworth by his side to help.
With a traveling band of jesters, merrymen, and freaks, all under the enslavement "employment" of a Hugo Strange.
Pennyworth noticed that one specific jester seemed to catch Bruce's eye, cracking an actual smile instead of the fake one he always plastered on, and so, for Bruce's good health, Pennyworth hired the man to be King Bruce's personal jester instead of hitting the road once more.
POV the jester calls you baby girl
(also just my favorite genre of shameless public flirting - when people aren't sure how serious the feels are)
Just a handful of sketches that I did to get a feel for Joker's medieval mischief, as well as Riddler, since Joker would want to pet him so badly-
More sketches of Ed and also Jo! I wanted to do my best to draw Fluffy's designs,

Powerpuff Girls screenshot redraw with the most flamboyant clown I know-
Yes, this is still our Joker! This is just his design in the alternate timeline where he's a villain instead of working with Batman.

Behold, my collection of villain!joker (alt. timeline) sketches! There's even a batjokes/fruitybats comic!
This was when I first designed Joker's villain outfit, taking more inspiration from BTAS Joker and The Mask's zoot suits, as well as just deciding on how the Joker and Batman would behave differently in this timeline.
Given that villain!Joker is still pretty silly and more just makes the public nervous, Batman doesn't take a harsh stance with him. Joker is also hardcore flirting with him the whole time, so that also makes it harder for Bats to really feel like telling the clown off.
tangent, but it's relevant: it's always bothered me how Batman (and most heroes in mainstream comics, honestly) never seem to end up physically scarred from any of their encounters, as if they aren't going through it on a near daily basis. That said, it makes sense to me that someone like Bruce, who cares about how he's perceived in public, would be very anxious for anyone to find out he has any scars, especially as many and intensely as he does. So sharing them with Joker and not being disgusted means a lot.
Bruce also likes that they match, even if it sucks that Joker's tattoo didn't heal right in this timeline.
In this timeline, Harley and Joker are still on bad terms, so it's better they don't cross paths, else a turf war might break out.
I don't know why I've always found the phrase "be gentle" funny, but I think maybe in this specific instance, it's because Joker doesn't actually mind it being rough?
Batman at least tries to make it look like he treats Joker like any other rogue, but Joker has a mind of her own, which, in that case, people assume it's a one sided crush.
Alright, I have thoughts:
First, Joker really doesn't want to get sent back to Arkham. That's the worst possible outcome to any of his shenanigans. Luckily, Bats has no intention of bringing Joker back there. If anything, he had no idea Joker would start off by blurting that out the first time Bats got him cuffed.
Secondly, Bats would have no idea what to expect of Joker's hideout, which is just one of many abandoned homes in old Gotham/the Narrows (still not sure, need to do more research) so pretty sad for someone so full of life and proud to have anything.

I apologize for being late, but here's some pride for you! I will draw a few more later today and hopefully have it posted by then as well. Hopefully, you had a lovely and safe pride!
