Addiction
Is something that has been scrutinised in our society for a long time, those that are addicted to substance are trying too hard to find their purpose. Their purpose is to live but they insist on trying to self destruct.
This is a generational stumbling block that has been looked over as a disease - an affliction - a curse almost. But it was generation X crying for help but being without a release. For our forefathers thought too much and we think too little.
We focus on the negatives when we should look to the light again. See the beauty in everyday experience. Talk it out, don’t all shout at once. Feel the pain you see but never let it anger your heart. Just take a step back and let life wash over you from time to time - watch the clouds go by, cry when you need to cry.
27 Dec 20:34 Okay so, here I am trying to get the most out of this ridiculously expensive textbook that isn't even a required text, just recommended (first year mistake #1) and doing the exercises that pop up. Then I try to find the answers and NOPE THEY DO NOT EXIST IN THIS BOOK Like, are you kidding me? This is just the most ridiculous thing. How the flipping heck am I meant to know if I got it right, and if I didn't, how to do it so I can find out what I am doing wrong?! You can get so much wrong if you don't have the basics right! Please excuse me while I bang my head against this ridiculous textbook in extreme frustration ✌🏻️
DAMIT INTERNET YOU'RE BORING ME
Perhaps I'm just not made to be in a relationship. Maybe I'm just supposed to float in and out of people's lives forever.
There's this guy I want to ask to semi-formal, and I have a really cute way of how to do it planned in my head. The one problem? I never, ever see him. Why must this happen to me???
Boys. Are. Confusing.
Can somebody please tell me why it is that boys are so confusing?
Seriously though. You don't talk to me for a solid 2.5 months, and then you come waltzing back into my life like nothing has happened. And then you introduce me to your younger brother, whom you are super close to. And tell me that we should go to some soccer games together next season (although we haven't even hung out recently, so I don't know what planning something months away is going to do...).
So could you maybe clue me in as to what you think we are? Are we just friends, or do you want it to be more than that? Because I know what I want. I'm just afraid to tell you because you can't seem to slow down long enough for me to figure out where you stand.
What is this?
We go from not talking for at least the last 3 months, to talking multiple times the past two days. And when we do talk, its like nothing has changed--we've just fallen into our old routine all over again. Clearly this is a sign, and one that you should most definitely pay attention to.
