what if vio accidentally killed green?

think about it. what would be the ultimate outcome?

well obviously red and blue are mad. but what about vio? and how would it end?

well. in my fsa discord server (dm for the link!), i had an idea dump of an au where vio kills green. the ultimate outcome? 

everybody dies. and here’s how.

vio and green have their duel. just like in canon.

vio thinks he knocks green out, but then he realizes there’s blood on his sword.

he looks behind him.

green is on the ground. and there is a large growing red stain on his chest

and vio’s like oh no

goddesses no

this wasn’t supposed to happen

this was not his plan

shadow is cheering

blue is shouting

red is crying

goddesses no

and vio’s face doesn’t change but he’s feeling sick

because did that actually just happen

did he really just kill green

he doesn’t say anything as he follows shadow into the fire temple

but for the first time he has no idea what to do

so he just plays along with shadow. tries to settle into things. reads to distract himself

eventually blue shows up and challenges vio to a duel himself and vio has no choice but to accept

and blue is absolutely merciless 

he is out for blood

and vio is just scared for his life at this point because he knows blue is absolutely serious, this is a battle to the death

and vio gets pretty beat up but in the end he’s the one standing with a 

dead

blue

in front of him

and red sees everything from the sidelines

wracked with grief, red takes up blue and green’s swords 

he blames shadow for everything and challenges shadow

and puts up a really good fight using the light force already gathered to actually be able to hit shadow

but

it’s not

enough

and he runs out

and vio doesn’t have to do it this time

shadow finishes off the last remaining hero himself

but vio doesn’t feel any better for it and completely shuts down after that because all his brothers are dead and it’s his fault

shadow realizes something is up and starts trying to cheer vio up with... distractions

vio realizes pretty quickly shadow is really good at distracting him from his guilt

and despite the fact that his initial plan was to betray shadow, he’s starting to enjoy this type of attention

which is scary because vio isn’t one to base decisions on feelings but he could definitely get used to this 

hell he’d love to get used to this 

and vio realizes that darkness is easy

darkness is fascinating

darkness is exhilarating

and finally vio decides he wants to stay

not just because he really likes shadow

but because of all the things he could learn

all the knowledge he could gather

so many forbidden secrets he could get access to

and then he proposes his plan to shadow

they can seal vaati away again and use zelda to banish ganon

and then they can rule the world

side by side

and shadow is thrilled because not only is vio starting to perk up

but he wants to rule the world with him

and shadow finally tells him 

‘goddesses vio i love you’

‘well that’s a relief because i love you too’

and they get to work right away

and thanks to vio’s genius they actually end up pulling it off

and vio is excited because 

unlimited power means unlimited knowledge

but as he explores the darkness more and more

he starts getting

ideas

scary ideas

because vio is smart. he’s almost never wrong. his plans almost always work

but darkness will corrupt even the most intelligent people

and the amount of power vio has starts getting to him

because he realizes he’s smart enough to get anything he wants even without abusing his power

and when vio combines his intellect with the darkness seeping into him

bigger plans start to formulate in his mind

he doesn’t need shadow

shadow isn’t nearly as dangerous as he thinks he is

and shadow trusts him so much that he would be blind to anything vio might plot against him

but this scares vio

he doesn’t want to hurt shadow

he loves shadow

and because of these ideas vio becomes afraid of himself

because it would be so easy to kill shadow and rule alone

so vio has three choices

a. kill shadow and take the throne for himself alone

b. do nothing and rule with shadow forever

c. listen to his conscience for once in a very long time and WAKE UP

and vio finally makes a decision

he sets an enchanted bomb in the tower of darkness where he, shadow, and the dark mirror are

a bomb that will destroy both beings of light and dark

shadow finds out about it and goes to find vio

he finds him in the room with the mirror, with the bomb in the center of the room

shadow is furious because he trusted vio and now he’s throwing everything away

and vio says he’s sorry

and that he really did love him

and still does

but shadow says ‘i don’t care. i hate you.’

and vio

sees the bomb is at ten seconds

looks back at shadow with a sad smile

and there is a single tear slowly running down his cheek

and just before the bomb goes off

he says

‘then i guess the greatest love stories really do always end in tragedy.’

Managed to doodle a thing, I’m really quite happy with Shadow’s hair actually

I always end up drawing on Sundays and I can't say I'm mad about it. I love how the colors in this one turned out, even if I'm not a huge fan of some other elements.

Apparently Vidow gets me back on track every time. Not really sure what colors are doing but whatever. Perfection is for fools and God.

I have an entire Pinterest board that started out as 80s AU outfit ideas but is over half just cute pictures of couples that I wanted to draw Vidow in. Just so you know. It's fun to draw them. :)
