honestly I am kinda rolling over in my head the original intent behind dreamer/pixels being madd . Because obviously they’re plural but also it is another really cute angle tbh, dreamer has a platonic f/o and that platonic f/o is pixels. platonic selfship w ur oc… it’s beautiful!

I mean I definitely think it was play at first but pixels became her own person eventually. willogenic pixels… I don’t know enough about origin labels but if there’s like a label for an accidental willogenic headmate that’s pixels. what’s that one post “I thought I had an f/o and I would imagine us going on dates all the time but it turns out they were my headmate and those were actual dates” that but for friendship. that’s dreamer and pixels to me.

tidbits about my “pixels and dreamer are a system” headcanon

in the early stages, dreamer gets surprised when pixels says something that dreamer didn’t “make them say”. this was early signs that pixels was becoming their own person.

they experience emotional bleed. pixels and dreamer, while having different emotions, will feel one another’s. they often get confusion on who’s who, and if something gets a particular crazy reaction from one of them the other will usually come to check if everything’s still alright.

sometimes they kinda blur into each other. Pixels will appear kinda fuzzy and intangible, dreamer’s lightbulb will glow a lighter green. This mostly happens when something is wrong (if the power’s out, for example) but sometimes just also Occurs Randomly. they might say things you’d expect from the other, for example.

dreamer & pixels are a willogenic system TO ME. maybe pixels started as someone imaginary but they didn’t stay that way for long!!
