SUMMARY: Green Hides A Knife In His Shoe Like A Dumbass, and a trip to Gerudo town... happens.
(The knife thing is just a reminder that even though it works in movies it doesn’t actually work in real life)
Same Anon as before: Ideas to include for the story: 1. Green calming Blue after a nightmare and babying him like he would his own son. 2. SURVIVOR'S GUILT (for all except Red) 3. Vio, after learning of Red's currently deceased status, figuring out a way to get him back to life, too. 4. Meeting Zelda again and Green not recognizing his childhood friend - Ouch. 5. Maybe the magic of the Four Sword slowly destabilizing due to being overused... Like I said your story has so much potential!
1) Ooh, yes! While this might not be able to make it fully into the plot, this IS a series, which means it could be a side-story. I was planning on Green and Blue having a stronger friendship than Green and any of the other links (not romantic because Green is an adult and Blue is a CHILD) so this is a great idea!
2) Yes. Green is probably the worse, then Vio and Blue, Green trying to comfort them while after that all three of them decide to spend more time with Red. Shadow probably couldn’t care less, he did try to kill them. (He does get survivor’s guilt later though along with regular guilt and a whole basket of issues we have yet to get out! ^^)
3) AMAZING AND SO MUCH POTENTIAL FOR HAPPINESS AND GRIEF! No spoilers but Vio needs help from a certain princess to do this… leading to–
4) Okay why must you hurt my heart like this, Anon, but how about yes.
5) MMM, in real life that would happen, but in this AU… what would happen to the Links? I believe nothing. The sword will attempt to turn them back into one, but I believe this will happen:
- Green is too old now– the sword doesn’t recognize him.
- Red is… dead??? It wouldn’t work???
- Vio is now here by another magic source, so while the sword recognizes him, it can’t put him back.
- Blue would probably be the only one it works on, but being the only one means nothing happens.
- Nothing happens for Shadow, he’s also not connected to the Four Sword.
Thank you, Anon, for all these ideas, I wish I knew your identity so I could credit you properly, but I hope just saying, “An Anon on Tumblr gave me these ideas” will be anough!

Work summary: After the Links get split up, what happens? What if they failed? When Green starts getting dreams that make him too uneasy to continue living his normal life, he sets out to find why, and when he stumbles across the dead kid in the ice, he doesn't know that this is only the beginning...
Meanwhile, Shadow gets bad news that a new dark force is present... one that makes his army disappear, including Ganon and Vaati, who, to be fair, Shadow hated anyway. So now, he had no choice but to get his rivals back into a team, with new allies, to get rid of this new evil that even he can't stand.
Chapter summary: In which Shadow gets some bad news and Green loses the only connection to his past.
Trigger warnings: Anxiety attacks, no knowledge of how to calm down anxiety attacks from the character, mentions of murder, mentions of death, mentions of serious injury, and angry screaming.
Previous chapter: Green leaves and Shadow admires the courtyard.
So I just came here from AooO and after reading your story notes you may call me intrigued. I have never seen a story idea like yours and it is utterly captivating. It's potential for both angst and fluff is like unmeaureable. Though the real question is: How are an amnesiac middle aged man, a unfrozen timemissplaced kid with agression problems, an overemotional ghost of a dead kid, and a kind-of demon with attachments to both sides of the war supposed to save/free a country?
I won’t go into this too deeply because spoilers, but Green, Blue, Red, and Vio have powers that came from them drawing the Four Sword in the first place. Green is EXTREMELY lucky, Blue has enhanced senses, Red is able to talk to animals, and Vio has enhanced intelligence. Now, Green doesn’t know it, but the others (save Vio until later) remember their adventures when they were 14, meaning they all have experience with these things.
Also Shadow is panicking and is like “WHAT ABOUT THE FOUR OTHER VERSIONS OF ME THAT I TRIED TO KILL SAVE VIO” and Vio’s like “I have concerns about the killing part but okay sure we need help.” and boom.
One amnesiac, one unfrozen anger boi, one emotional happy child, and one sassy demon must band together with (most of their) sworn enemies (I mean except Vio and Green doesn’t really remember) to defeat evil!

SOOOOOOO, HERE WE GO!
Summary: In which Vio and Shadow have a much-needed talk and Blue learns about souls.
Trigger warnings for mild injury and death mentions. Also Red because he’s, y’know, dead.
