You can see the emotion written on his face. He knows he’s dying, he realizes that will have to leave his loved ones soon, and he is facing it.

From what I can tell, this a character development for Natsu because earlier in the show he might’ve not believed it, or ignored it thinking he’d find a way to avoid it. That kind of thinking is a part of Natsu personality in a sense, but how much Natsu has grown in his thinking makes me cry. He is still fighting till the end for his guild and that’s one of the reasons I love Natsu so much.

I don’t really understand how taking over Wendy’s body isn’t “enchanting one’s personality into another body”, or why you can’t enchant relatives, but Irene isn’t in the best mental state so I don’t think that her explanation of enchantment should be taken as the truth anyway.
