When Victor had received a text from Kit asking if he wanted to meet at Mama Ode’s for lunch he hadn’t let himself think too hard about it before he agreed to go. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to go eat lunch with his new found friend it was just easy for him to make excuses, anxiety getting the better of him more often than not. It was better if he didn’t overthink it.
Instead he replied and got dressed, picking something simple but nice for the cafe that everyone seemed to love. He needed a haircut, he noted, as he glanced in the mirror one final time before heading out; tucking his keys into his pocket. He’s make a note of it but for now, he was more than happy to just go, his long strides taking him to where he wanted to be in short order.
He stepped inside and looked around. He didn’t see Kit but that made sense because he had a habit of getting wherever he needed to be at least ten minutes early. He found an empty table towards the back of the cafe and settled in to wait.
