“you know those kids have been tailing you for the last half hour?" her eyes lifting from her wine glass to gaze at him and then gesture to the little fanbase he seemed to have going on just around the corner for him. “it’s like you’re their hero or something.” a chuckle escaping her lips as she nursed the glass of wine she held in her hand. “and then there’s me. not even my own kids like me which is saying something.” a roll of her eyes, although of course like any parent the thought of her kids hating her secretly broke her heart. “i’m charlotte. more than welcome to join me for a glass? we can wait them out.”
