Summary:
You and your husband Jin have what appears to be a picture-perfect life. But behind closed doors, your sexual relationship is severely lacking, and when Jin's best friend, Namjoon becomes newly single, things become interesting.
“It’s not that he gives me anything... He just… he remembers the person that I was when I had nothing. He just accepts me.”
[SPOILERS AHEAD]
honestly I was not planning on reading anything that will hurt my heart but here I am, I wouldn’t say that this broke me but I would recommend this to everyone who’s struggling in their relationships, but you don’t have to commit infidelity to see the signs and know that you’re no longer happy, no longer satisfied, no longer you...
so what made me start reading? obviously it’s the Seokjin x Reader x Namjoon bait lol jk but yeah that’s the truth, I wanted to read something with these two when I saw this story on ao3 ~ I won’t be spoiling a lot here nor will I highlight all of their flaws, they’re only human and make mistakes tho but that does not justify the cheating but if you read this and you have an open mind or have gone through the same dilemma/s you would understand all parties, you will have sympathy for each one of them but ultimately feel that being unfaithful isn’t the way to go but it happened, it happens.
let’s focus on how and when things got complicated, it may seem like MC was selfish that’s why she ended up doing what she did but it was more than carnal desires that made her fall into Namjoon’s arms, and it may also seem that Namjoon was an asshole for not considering Jin in the equation ~ well he kinda is because he could’ve waited but wbk that waiting won’t make anything happen - still not the best way to go because it’s messy af. but if you consider all of their individual feelings all of them are victims here.
Jin, he was very loving but he had this Picture Perfect version of his marriage in his head, he provides well, he did everything to give MC and their future kids the best life possible he was too focused on making things perfect he forgot that marriage only works when both parties are invested and passionately dedicated to it. MC, the wife who was once a wild child with wild dreams, she was an aspiring singer (thanks to her gigs she met her husband Jin and his best friend Namjoon) whose dreams had died the moment she walked down the aisle, honestly this could’ve been prevented if there was communication between Jin and her but there was none, her duty was to be a wife who will tend to his needs, she became a wife first before herself which is a huge concern, you don’t change the person you love when you enter a relationship or when you get married, our duty is to love them and not turn them into what we want them to be, they seemed so perfect on the outside but they’re so disconnected on the inside, he doesn’t support her dreams (there will be a dialogue here from Jin that will put you off like why would you say that knowing she’s so in love with doing that thing...) and he can’t even meet her halfway in bed and that’s just ugh. Namjoon, sigh, poor boy, time was not on his side he could’ve been with MC from the start but Jin was smoother and faster at claiming her heart it was painful knowing their history, he loved and still loves MC for who she is, in his eyes she’ll always be the aspiring singer he met one fateful night and that will never change ~ i’d say the feeling was mutual because MC saw him as someone who’s always been there for her, he was a source of light during her darkest days with Jin and even if there was hope, time still wasn’t kind to him and before he knew it she’s walking towards Jin in her wedding dress promising forever ‘til death do them part.
fast forward to MC and Namjoon starting their affair, they were plagued with guilt but even if they decided that they had to stop whatever they started right away the universe keeps pulling them back together, Jin changed for the better because he had this desire to start a family, to raise their child, everything he failed to give to MC suddenly was given in excessive amounts but she was no longer excited with his enthusiasm, her thoughts were filled with Namjoon. spending time away from each other kinda helped but they eventually had to meet up because of Namjoon’s work, it was like fate working its magic to bring back everything she had lost when she agreed to marry Jin, it’s not like it was a curse being with him, it’s just that hmmm not because things worked out when you were still together as boyfriend/girlfriend it doesn’t mean things will always be as pleasant and smooth when you decide to marry, things will get harder and you have to work hard to make everything work but of course not everyone is meant to succeed, some marriages fall apart and in their case it’s because there’s lack of communication and support ~ if only MC expressed her love for singing to Jin, tell her how much it means to her, if only he listened and gave her freedom and support then things might’ve been better but you know what maybe they were never really meant to be together.
the moment they got caught I never felt this pang in my heart rather I felt like finally they’re caught, they will no longer have to lie to Jin’s face, it’s time they make things right, he doesn’t deserve any of this, what he deserves is the truth because you don’t know how much it sucks being cheated on, you will fucking shrink into nothing and doubt and belittle yourself every single fucking day of your life until you get back to your senses and lift yourself up to move on, move forward. it’s just sad that despite what happened he still wanted to forgive her and be with her, I appreciate that instead of staying she chose what she really wanted to do, to free herself, to heal and eventually be with the person who makes her happy, who supports her dreams, who loves her for who she is, flaws and all.
this wasn’t the Picture Perfect ending that Jin wanted but he was happy, they were happy, maybe they were really meant to have each other in their lives, Namjoon and MC are now living together, living their dreams and Jin finally have his kid, an unconventional family setting but as long as there’s love and happiness it’ll always be perfect. | 🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒

[ SPOILERS AHEAD ]
I didn’t know what to expect when I clicked the notification that obi posted a new story on ao3, I saw the tags and I knew this would be an interesting story and it was... fuck ~ this scared me so much because jimin was the horror villain I was exactly avoiding for years and years...
so the story starts with Seokjin, Taehyung, and Namjoon (the holy trinity), Jin and Taehyung are officers handling the string of murders happening in their area and Namjoon was MC’s attending psychiatrist she was diagnosed with insomnia, manic depression, and anxiety and she also claims to know who’s behind the killings that the officers can’t seem to find.
let’s do this quickly (a lie ig hjskafhkjas) since this is a quick read, MC claims that the man behind Min Yoongi’s death was Park Jimin her former lover, she doesn’t have any solid evidence because there wasn’t anything left behind on Yoongi’s apartment but she’s certain it was Jimin because he took her to his apartment to show her his dead body. all I could think of reading those lines was man this is fucked up, but before the murders happened Jimin was the perfect boyfriend he was all about MC, he was everything a girl could ever ask for, he paid attention and knows everything about her but little did she know that it wasn’t cute that he knows everything, it was creepy, he became obsessed the longer they were together or maybe he was just good at flattering her and hiding his true nature making her see him as a doting boyfriend instead of an obsessed creep who wants her all for himself.
why did Yoongi had to die? because Jimin was right he was romantically (maybe sexually) interested in MC and he won’t allow him near her, Jimin was crazy for lashing out and and forcing her to show everyone she belonged to him thru public sex - Jimin lost it, he was far too gone, far too obsessed and that’s when the string of murders started, first off he got rid of Yoongi followed by a few people who meddled with their “relationship” all of them had to go, no one can ever take her away from Jimin, she belonged to her.
after reading this I have a few questions and theories in my head, we all know that MC was diagnosed with a few mental health problems that could lead to delusions, did Jimin really exist or was he the beast inside her head that kills people who meddles with their relationship? I’m no expert when it comes to these things but I think this is possible since it’s established that she has a few issues, also, the fact that she said she can’t run away from Jimin because he lives in her nightmares maybe that’s her trigger? she even told Jin “That’s how it starts.” when he mentioned that Yoongi exhibited signs of depression and an- (anxiety) and she was suffering from both issues right? also if he was in her nightmares and he could kill everyone like the infamous Freddy Krueger then she must be an innocent bait who can’t escape him even in her dreams ~ but i’m still thinking that MC is the real killer here and if Jimin was actually a real person she must be the obsessed one or maybe he actually died obsessed with her so he got into her head or possessed her, manipulated her even after he left this world (which is a fucking torture man) this will haunt me and I hate it because I can’t help associating Freddy to this story and I’m scared of him ever since.
if you want something to think of overnight for days then read this one, I’m pretty sure I’ll still think about this before I sleep and come up with five more theories before I doze off. | 🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒

Summary:
You had everything you thought you could ever want or need. You loved every moment of your life, your career, family, friends and most of all the light of your life your husband, Namjoon.
Until a reckless mistake sealed your fate.
Going through the motions of loss; the riptide of grief takes you and is pulling at your seams. Can you move forward and find happiness once again?
“I love you Ava, you are my world, you make up all of the brightest stars in my constellation.”
first of all, I don’t think I have read anything with this pairing a Namjoon x OC/Reader x Jimin story so I was delighted as soon as I saw the relationships info on ao3, the only confusing thing for me was immersing into a named reader (y’all know I’m all for immersion) because it’s always strictly second person pov/y/n or third person pov/named oc that I’m used to but after a while, I got used to it and enjoyed reading the story.
[SPOILERS AHEAD - very minimal since this is an on-going story.]
this is a very interesting story, I thought it would be easy to predict what happens next but I’m actually having a hard time thinking of all the possibilities since this is an on-going story, starting off with Namjoon and Ava talking about constellations, a secret the adorable husband can’t keep, the things they’d do once they get to Australia, the veil of love and lust consuming them because they were so happy sigh honestly I heard my heart shattered when Joon said the name Ava because I thought he was cheating but turns out it was a named reader, I had to pause and re-read over and over because again this was something new to me after accepting and immersing into the story with a different name it actually had my heart fluttering once again recalling their unspoken words, their conversation in the car, the way they show their love through actions and words were beautiful until everything came crashing down, that’s when I finally realized that this will indeed be tragic as stated on the tags.
the flashbacks are very important in establishing how the couple met and how they were as lovers before getting married, this is also where we finally meet every other character that adds life to the story from Min who is very charming and knows what she wants, ugh I utterly adore her cute story with Taehyung, it really is true that when two people are meant to be together they’ll find a way back to each other, Taehyung (or Min’s boyfriend) is taking up media studies with Jungkook, Seokjin, of course, the handsome chaebol who has everything one could wish for, Yoongi and Hoseok, or the lovers who have different personalities but still bring out the best in each other and Jimin the professional dancer who made Ava realize her that she still has passion for dancing. honestly, I’m still clueless on how Jimin will enter the picture will he remain as a friend with unrequited feelings (we still haven’t established tho how he truly feels for Ava), will something blossom between him and Ava while they spend more time with each other, will he enter the picture during the present day where she will need her friends to support her now that Namjoon is most probably in critical condition (not to mention we still don’t know whether or not she is pregnant), I like that there are so many possibilities and with the transition from present to past to present makes me lose my mind in a good way because it makes the story worth investing time in.
I am looking forward to the future chapters of this story, I love how my heart has been played with way too many times from the named reader to the tragic accident, the flashbacks etc., the characterization is lovely and I wanna get to know them more, the details of the story, it’s one of the things I like about your writing (A++ to the smutty parts of the story because ngl I live for dom!Namjoon, well-written *standing ovation with flying kisses*) the air of mystery in every chapter because I wanna know what happened to them but I’m scared like what if Namjoon ends up in a coma or what if he suffers from amnesia? what if Ava is really pregnant? what if she gets devastated from whatever condition Namjoon is in and her vulnerability gets used against her but I doubt that scratching that idea rn~ but that’s just me and my imagination trying to appease my restless self while I wait for the next chapters.
anyways, thank you @kathkeatz-blog for sharing your story with us, these are my thoughts as a reader, I hope more people get to read your Then There Was You so they’d understand my excitement for the future of this story! | 🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒

Summary:
You've been in a dating drought, more specifically, a sex drought. Your best friend has the perfect remedy for your problem: The Gentlemen's Club.
The Gentlemen’s Club, wow the MC here is probably the character I relate to the most in all of the fics I have ever read in this fandom, this fic hit home, it was so easy to get lost and take over the role of MC, her life was so similar to mine I lost myself, my identity, the brightness I used to have and share with the people around me all because of a boy who never knew how to treat a woman, relationships are a two way street you cannot just give and give until you’re an empty vessel, always save some for yourself - that’s what I should’ve told myself years ago.
As painful as it was to remember while reading - this addressed concerns such as self-esteem and mental health issues, how to deal with a break-up that left you broken or damaged, how to open up again and embrace the opportunity to start anew and not be a brat and shut it off. this masterpiece gave hope in the form of the Dominant Gentleman Jung Hoseok, the idea of a gentlemen’s club is exciting, to be honest, but same with MC I wouldn’t dare try it out, she was lucky to have T though, she was an angel for introducing the site, because of this particular adventure T made her sign up for, things changed for the better, she started becoming herself again, loving and embracing every bit of her without holding back - not totally her old self tho but a better one.
Well, how do I start this without spoiling everything here? I was looking forward to straight-up smut with all the warnings/additional tags included I was like yeah sure I would love to read how the author would write all kinks included especially tantric sex, it may not be the filthy smut I was expecting but damn I was lost for words while reading each scenario and how the kink interactions took place, I say it was tastefully written and gives justice to the title of their club. I love how Tantric Sex and Voyeurism helped her get into her element (take note of a few tips coming from the boys), then came Roleplaying and she just let go of herself and didn’t give a single care in the world as long as she has Hoseok with her, followed by Dom/Sub interactions which is probably my favorite, hitting two birds with one stone and the Sensory Deprivation with a few things here and there just read all of it so you’ll have yourself lost in it as well (*sigh* everything is just rushing back to me, If I don’t hold back I might spill everything! + the other tags I won’t talk about much because it’s better to dive into it than just dipping your feet by reading my ramblings) + Author wasn’t kidding when she placed that gratuitous smut tag there!
Now let me roll into a huge fluffball by saying the romance in here is what every woman would want, though she’s technically a client, things have blossomed between the pair, and their dom/sub dynamic is also applicable in other situations, and I do agree the doms do get empowered by their subs, they won’t have power/control unless you submit, now, I’m telling you to prepare yourself for all the romance laced in this fic, you will be smiling and feeling all the ways Hoseok spoiled her also helped her move forward in life and start to be herself again, in return, she unknowingly helped him as well and made him learn to let go and love again, he’s the best y’all I’m not even exaggerating, if someone does that to me, I’ll ask them to marry me lol (jk I’m not that clingy and interested in marriages - yet - unless you’re Hoseok) oof spilling a little bit of my favorite - it was when he went out for a few days that I will never forget, if a man shows much effort and interest in you like that (but know his intentions first okay) give them a chance and if everything works well, maybe never let go? hmmm I think I’m now diabetic from all his sweet acts please, somebody give me metformin!
Oh also look out for your heart because you’re in for a rollercoaster ride of emotions, the transition will be pleasant I promise you! *sigh* I just fell in love with this fic that’s what I really wanted to scream from the very beginning of this non-sense blabbering, I’m proud to not have spoil much of the great stuff here because the element of surprise is essential. anyway, idk what else to say without oversharing so I’ll cut it right here!
P.S: Just learn to let go, stop torturing/blaming yourself for things you have no control over, life is too short to live under a rock, live your best life out there and who knows maybe one day you’ll get to meet the Jung Hoseok of your life who will give you everything without holding back, he will be all yours as you are his. | 🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒

THE HEART WANTS WHAT IT WANTS.
Reading this gave me so much feels, I hated and loved Jungkook and MC all at once for all the drama they allowed in their lives, the choices they made and why they did.
The angst here made it so hard for me to breathe at times (which is about 70% of the story imo), I felt so helpless and frustrated reading this masterpiece, to be honest, the author has created such a good story that will make you feel so conflicted as to who you’d choose to side with, it’s such a pain in the ass having to just pick yourself being the reader because you know Jungkook was a cheating little shit and then picking Jungkook because deep in your heart you have hope that he will change for the better and that his amnesia is somehow a wake-up call for both sides.
The romance on the other hand laced with one too many sexual tension and frustration is just right given the situation they’re in, her amazing ability to hold back and not fall into deep (although let’s be honest she’s the one with the short end of the stick at the end of it all) was refreshing but also tried my patience all throughout, like please girl you have the whole world in your hands right now and still - but the other side of me was proud she was doing the right thing but also gave me blue balls from all the anticipation only to be disappointed because she always end up choosing the right thing to do, just like her friend Se-Eun I want to forgive Jungkook for his cheating all because he is The Jeon Jungkook, but in reality I am me, I am her, I would never tolerate cheating no matter what, even if it was a simple exchange because the moment your partner chose to cross the line that’s it, as clear as the beautiful blue sky, they may have loved you or not at all so they decided to act upon their desire and try their luck with someone else, reading this monster fic will make you realize a lot of things that somewhere out there people can always have a change of heart no matter how good they already have it, but the heart would always want what it wants no matter how fast the world spins, no matter how painful it gets, no matter how wrong it feels because as much as we try to forget, to move on, to patch up that hole in our heart and make people believe what we want them to our heart will always shine through and will always come crawling back to the one we want, the one we need, the one we love.
This is a long read though, but worth every single moment for the story is well written, the characters you can relate to and immerse into, the cliffhangers, twists and turns that is guaranteed to make you mad, crazy, heartbroken, hopeful and lost in love is all here, though the amount of angst weighs the most, I would re-read this over and over because I love to torture myself with beautifully heartbreaking pieces from amazing writers. | 🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒

WHEN YOU LOVE SOMEONE, NO ONE, NOTHING CAN TEAR YOU APART.
sigh, another whirlwind of emotions, there were so many moments where I am truly conflicted on which side to choose I had three options here though it’s clear as day how things will turn out, Team Jungkook, Team Jung-Hyun & Team Yoongi, the story is frustratingly good because I felt all the angst and drama throughout and embraced every bit of it, there were moments where I just let myself cry from the pain of loving too much but feeling helpless because you want to make things right and help people around you (kind of a superhero complex thingy).
I hated Jeon Jungkook with every fiber of my being in this series, all I could say was goodness what a little shit this kid is! he’s so childish and selfish and keeps screwing things up, but hey MC is at fault too for pushing him back to Yi-Jae, anyway as much as I despised the maknae, I learned to love Jung-Hyun with all my heart (also probably because I imagined Christian Yu to be the older Jeon lol) he was perfect tho his past was flawed yet he tried to be a better person here (though he clearly failed at being a better brother), he also helped MC greatly, he was a savior, he saved her from the huge responsibility thrown at her, he helped saved her from the darkest time of her life, he somehow saved her broken heart, “somehow” because no matter how much saving he does they both know the truth, they know who resides in her heart, the one that makes it beat erratically it hurts. - I also had hoped with Yoongi here, to save her aching heart, can he be the one, can we not make him just a friend? hoping she’ll learn to love him...
but life has a funny way of fucking you up right, the drama here made my heart and mind hurt like fuck it! I wish after a certain chapter it gets better but it doesn’t but that’s the beauty of the story for me, the drama helped build the characters and it also introduced their backgrounds, I pitied Yi-Jae she was played and tricked into this sick game when she only wants to be loved (but heyyyyyy okay just read it), Jung-Hyun and his dark past was also discussed here, the angsty drama is addicting tbh, you have to read to agree with me hmmm i will stop here to not spoil the story further, but as I said, in the beginning, no one, nothing, not even love can tear them apart, because it’s written in the stars that those two were meant to be together no matter how much they had to struggle to be together, no matter how many people try to get in their way, it will always be them forever, until the end of time. | 🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒
