your hand fits in mine,
like it’s made just for me.
a princess realizes she’s completely in love with a boy who never fails to make her heart go warm. zoyce.
they’re laying on zach’s couch, joyce in between his legs, laying her back against her boyfriend’s chest as he lightly snores. an arm is lazily wrapped around her waist, keeping her put and she does what any other girlfriend would do; gently grab his hand and lace their fingers together. the quiet surrounding them is extremely nice compared to the sounds of flashing cameras and rude reporters shoving mics into their faces.
being a princess isn’t all glitz or glamour, after all. the paparazzi not only continuously follows her family around, but also the people she surrounds herself with. quite annoying, really, but joyce can only persevere with a smile and move along. sighing, the young woman shuts her eyes.
there isn’t anywhere else where she feels safe other than in the company of zach. his smile, his laugh, the way he crinkles his nose in distaste, the way he makes her feel that there is no one else he’d rather spend his time with. everything is zach and nothing hurts more than when they’re apart. she loves him--
her eyelids flutter open as quickly as they had closed. she loves him? she loves him!
a laugh slips past her lips, joyce already shaking the sleeping male awake. he whines a little, rubbing his face before peeking up at her in question. “babe? what’s wrong?”
“i love you.”
a surprised zach blinks repeatedly before cupping her face, bringing it down to his, almost as if staring directly into her soul. “repeat that?”
“are you suddenly hard of hearing,” she questions jokingly, placing a sweet kiss on his lips and knocking their foreheads together. “i love you. more than anything.”
“one more time?”
“i love you, i love you, i love you, idiot.”
with a grin matching her own, he decides to pull her down into his embrace, kissing her forehead and nuzzling his nose into her hair. “ i love you too, princess.”
joyce’s heart prances when he says it back as she settles in his arms once again. there is only one person for her and she’s lucky to have him love her just as much as she does him. yes, this is definitely her happily ever after.
