at the beach outside @alison-harper‘s house, may 23
Time passed, life changed, but some things would remain a constant no matter what. For Amy, that was the call of the ocean, the waves whispering names and memories that she had finally let go of, only to welcome them back into her heart with every crash against the shore. There was an odd sense of peace in it now, the haunting tone dispelled from her favorite place, and the brunette went back to it without any weight on her heart now. Steady feet carried her quietly along the shore, footprints claimed by the sea foam and erased as she trailed her favorite path to the place where she spent so many nights in her adolescent years, next to a camp fire, with friends who still made her days and some she hadn’t seen in a while.
... And some she thought she could see now, she realized with a start, as dark haired figure in front of her turned sideways to reveal familiar features. Ghosts might no longer haunt the vast ocean, but she felt as though she had ran into one just then.
ah, hello and welcome to our first weekly roundup. i’m your favorite editor, rose here to quench your thirst for all things wild in the lives of los angeles’ favorite celebrities. this week’s forecast looks cloudy with a chance of what the actual fuck is going on with these weirdos. lets get crackin’ shall we?
first up, we have milena walker and sidney spinner we’ve known for awhile now that these two have been together. i’ll be the first to admit my doubts on the validity of their relationship. but, after yesterday ... i think we’re all sure this is the real deal. i send out my personal well wishes to milena and her roommates.
spotted ! submitted by ( anonymous ), ( milena ) and ( sidney ) were seen ( leaving alfred coffee hand in hand when milena got what looked like a distressing phone call. sidney took the phone when his girlfriend seemed frozen in shock, before leading her back to his car quickly. he sped off with milena ducking her head in the front passenger seat. based on last night’s news, we can only assume that was when milena found out about the break in at her and maeve’s home. thank goodness she had her supportive boyfriend by her side! )
next on the agenda , a possible engagement? now, if you know me, you know i am a sucker for a love story. let’s just say this one? threw me for a loop! especially how fast this has all gone down. allie and jack are cute.... but , personally i always shipped her with damian. is it just me?
rumor has it… allie and jack are engaged! they started dating in january so it’s been less than three months and rumor has it that jack proposed after just a few weeks. allie has been seen out and about with a ring on THAT finger several times within the last few days.
weird huh? well, congratulations to the lovebirds, i’ll be waiting for my wedding invite in the mail.
next up, two possible new couples on the rise? it’s march but it seems like love is still very much in the air.
spotted ! submitted by ( a barista at melrose coffee ), ( dove ) and ( brodie ) were seen ( hand holding and laughing. on lookers say the two seemed to be happily snuggled close together – presumably as they awaited their 20 dollar lattes. could this mean… they’re an item? ).
spotted ! submitted by ( anonymous ), ( jules ) and ( valentina ) were seen ( out sharing dinner at the catch LA, laughing and looking cozy mere days after valentina left a flirty comment on his latest insta post ).
dove and brodie definitely flew out of left field for me! but, i think they’re kind of cute together? who knows, maybe opposites really do attract...? doubt it. i give them a month.
and finally, i tracked down jules for a comment on his recent flirtation with valentina. a man of few words, all he had to say was quote, "we just met but i really like hanging out with her. she's a lot of fun." a lot of fun, aye? well, i think we all know what that means.... jules and val are definitely hooking up and ( if you ask me ) things are looking pretty serious. we just might see another engagement soon?
that’s it for this week’s round up !! got anything worth spilling ? check out this page for more details. this one’s a short one but you can expect to see these weekly full of all of the latest news.
dove shops quite a bit in her free time. but not always for herself. as usual, she finds something she thinks one of her friends would like and immediately after buying the item, she rushes over to their house to deliver it personally their just because gift. today, she found something for allie. “ hello ! hope you weren’t busy,” dove lifts two full gucci bags. “ i couldn’t help myself. got you and jack ... a few things?”
"Hey gorgeous, you want a shot? You look like you could do with one here." Blake smiled sliding one of the shots she'd brought herself over to the red head. "On me because no offence but you look like you need it. Is everything okay? I've been told I'm a good listener if there's anything you wanna talk about?"
Seeing Allie at the Gala hadn't been Hayes' idea of a great way to spend his night. Too many things were running around in his head. Did she knew that he was there with Kinny? Did she know what was going on between him and her best friend? Could she read the mixture of guilt and uncertainty written on his face about the whole thing. When was he going to have time to process that he had a child whose entire childhood he'd missed out on? When was the anger he felt towards her going to leave him? "You look beautiful." Hayes admitted and it was true, years ago he's spent so long wondering what a woman like that saw in him. That boy was a lot more insecure and unsure of himself than he man he was today, but even though he'd changed significantly the way he looked at her hadn't. She was still as beautiful as the day he laid eyes on her and just as otherworldly but now so much history and bad blood clouded that. There was too much blood in his mouth now.
It wasn’t the first time Hayes had found himself with a gun pointed at his head, a fact which only disturbed him more rather than bringing him any kind of comfort. He was a normal guy, he followed the rules, did his job and he payed his taxes. There was no way he should have been held at gun point as many times as he had. Not only that but everything going on in the wedding hall seemed to be moving in super speed and slow motion at the same time. A group of people he didn’t recognize had seemingly taken over the wedding and started shooting at people. Maybe Hayes shouldn’t have attempted to move when everyone was clearly told not to, if he hadn’t he might not have been gifted with the special treatment of having a gun pointed straight at his head. The screams were deafening, covered only by the sound of gun fire that didn’t seem to end but all he could focus on was the gun.
People said that when you were about to die your life flashes before your eyes but for Hayes everything was blank. Even as he watched the man’s trigger finger start to move there were no images of days gone by or the good times he’d had. All there was was screaming and the gun. He took a deep breath in having no doubt that it was about to be his last and as he exhaled he finally heard the shot ring out. Much to his surprise the pain didn’t follow the gunshot and as he began to pay more attention to his surroundings he noticed that the gun was no longer pointed to his head. Instead it was on the floor along with the man that had been about to end his life.
Hayes wasn’t sure he believed in god or any kind of all knowing being, but he silently thanked whatever or whoever had just saved his life. He made a silent promise to do more with his life and become a better man but before he had too much time to pray another bullet whizzed past him head making him duck. He stayed low to the ground, he needed to find Allie and get the hell out of there. He knew the last time he’d seen the blonde she was in the hall not too far away from him so she had to be close by.
He took in his surroundings, trying to ignore all of the blood and dead bodies surrounding him to focus on any strand of blonde hair. It took a couple of seconds but he finally managed to find Allie crouched behind a chair. In a rush a courage he’d never had before he ran over to her, standing over her to shield her from any possible disasters. “We need to get out of here. I think I saw some people running towards an exit with less of the people with guns. We need to move.” He yelled over the battle, adrenaline and the need to protect Allie kicking in. A part of him knew when they were safe and he stopped moving he’d be a wreck but he didn’t have time to think about that. First he needed them to survive.
Hayes hadn’t been to many weddings in his life, he slightly remembered being a pageboy for his parents wedding. There were a couple of other family weddings that came to mind too but this one was different. He’d be equal parts excited and nervous when Allie had asked him to be her date. She was a bridesmaid so Hayes had a decent amount of time spent sat on his own around people he’d never met. If it was in any other situation he might have left or at the very least had an anxiety attack but every time he looked over at Allie he relaxed slightly. Just her presence was comforting and made him feel so much better about being there. It helped that every time he looked over at her she seemed to be looking back at him, maybe it was his imagination but it was comforting nonetheless.
He was, however, a lot happier when her ceremony bridesmaid duties were finally over and he could actually spend some time with her. Hayes walked up to Allie, a big goofy grin on his face. “I wont lie to you, I think you’re the most beautiful woman in the room. Was there anything else you needed to do?”
hayes had lost track of how many shots they’d both done but he was beginning to feel it. the last time hayes had been incredibly drunk was five years ago when he got his job at the bar and had to taste test all of the drinks. apparently it was the only way to know what to recommend to customers but hayes had no clue why it all had to be in one night. most people could out drink hayes but he wasn’t expecting allie to be quite so fast downing shots. “yeah, i’m going to need a second. you’re skilled, i have to admit it.”
