       The true power of her position here was in the smaller things sometimes: of having all of the keys in this place hanging on her belt, including a duplicate of the one she and Dave had given to Sera — one of the few rooms off-limits to everyone else, kept exactly how she wanted it and never ever offered to anyone else. This meant that even when her beloved had locked herself inside for privacy, Giselle could get in — and she didn't think twice about turning the key in the lock and opening the door now. There was nothing the two hid from each other, nothing they did not share, and she'd seen Sera in all kinds of positions — though this time she did not need to look on enviously at her and Jack Sparrow mid-fuck.

       They were together, of course — Jack's head was cradled in her arms as they lounged on her bed ( they'd already been at it for a while, by Giselle's calculations ), but not currently in flagrante at least. As she turned to lock the door shut again, she heard Jack's voice behind her. “ Here she is, darling. ”

       Giselle turned to approach the pair. “ I always know you're here because she disappears for hours. ” She wasn't bitter, not about this at least; this was the way Giselle and Jack always talked to each other.

       Jack smiled, cat-like. “ You almost sound jealous. ”

       “ Fucking Dave, ” she exclaimed loudly, as if it was obvious that he was relevant to this despite not being in the room. Sitting down on the edge of the bed, entering their personal space as nonchalantly as she had entered the room, Giselle reached down to pull off her shoes. “ There's some tart downstairs and he won't tell me who the fuck she is. ”

On nights like these when Jack was out and their homework was boring them out of his mind, Luca’s first resort was skating. It’d always had been, for as long as their relevant memories could go back. They were slowly growing accustomed to the feel of the board underneath their feet after the short break they were forced to stop riding. They had an ambitious spirit, and not long after they’d been riding around did they attempt to grind the stair railing of Luxor’s courtyard. After a few bailouts, Luca’s board screeched against the metal poles as they glided into the night. They laughed, hovering close to the ground as they landed and swirled about the empty sidewalk. They noticed a figure as they approached the top of the steps, and a devillish smirk grew on their lips as they realized it was the brunette from the other night. “Were you planning on saying hi or just oogling from other there?” they teased, tilting their head with an inquisitive gaze.

avi didn’t usually frequent bars. it felt a bit pointless since she didn’t drink, but one of her older cousins was celebrating them getting promoted, and so avi found herself here. she’d wandered from the booth a large chunk of her family was currently occupying. she’d needed a break from their loud bantering, but mainly she’d also wanted a closer look at the person behind the bar. once upon a time, teenage avi had harbored a secret crush on a guy who had then been a senior, while she was just a sophomore. typical. after graduation jack had left town and avi had pretty much forgotten about him. until now. well, not exactly. she’d seen him around san verto. this was a small town after all. she just hadn’t cared until she had been stuck with her loud family at a gathering where drinking seemed to be the main activity. plainly: she was bored. “can i get a beer and a... uh.. you wouldn’t have any strawberry milk right? that’s not a thing they have at bars?” she picked up a paper coaster from the bar, bending it slightly. “orange juice? is that available?”

Now that she was back in Wilmington, Amy resumed some of her previous obligations, starting with the life at home and at the marina. Unemployed as she was, the oldest of the Taylor siblings was happy to jump at the chance to be useful and do something with her time, even if it was to go on breakfast runs. It didn’t measure to what she had gotten used to doing volunteering in South America, but she never shied away from work and she wouldn’t start now. 

Pulling up outside of her favorite coffee shop, Amy spotted a head of blonde hair walking down the street, that she swore looked familiar, but then again it happened a lot in Wilmington. Mulling over who it could be─ because surely it couldn’t be the first person that popped in her head─ she walked inside and started fishing for her wallet as she assumed her place at the end of the line. 

“Were you the last in?” She wondered softly, her jaw just about rolling to the floor when the person in front of her turned around to face her. The very person she never thought she’d see in Wilmington. “Jack?”
