despite the scolding, perrie held fawn’s forearm tenderly, turning it under the spout of water to wash out the wound, then carefully drying it with a paper towel. “apply pressure.” she instructed, pointing at the paper towel, before crouching to rip through the cabinet under the sink in search of band-aids. “seriously.”
finally, she straightened back up, holding out two boxes of band-aids. “OK, we have STAR WARS or BARBIE. but i’m only giving you one if you promise to stop climbing twenty feet up a tree when no one’s around.”
