Happy birthday, Kai!

By now I’ve already told you in person everything that is in my heart today but it kind of feels special to see it down on paper. I’m thankful for yet another year of your life that you chose to spend with me and I’m happy that its me that gets to see you enjoying everything that immortality has to offer. The road is long from now on and we still have a lot to explore together, so never ever stop dreaming. I’ll do my best to make all of your dreams come true.

I hope you are ready because the presents here are not the only ones you’ll receive tonight. Yes, I’m talking about another sweet little potion that I know you’ll love. And... something else.

Happy Valentine’s Day, baby!

You know I couldn’t allow this to slide past without using the opportunity to do something that is quite unusual for me - to give presents. Even if I love to joke that you already have the best one - me, you always find new and new ways to surprise me. I know you won’t miss the chance to do so now too, even if my birthday just passed by. 

So... this is my little surprise for you - I’ll let you to finish up whatever devilish and sexy thing you’re planning to do and then its my turn. I know you wouldn’t open your desk in your office so it was the perfect hiding spot for my surprise but I still glamoured them all for a little extra protection till the time comes - go there and you’ll find an envelope with a clue inside that will take you to the next envelope hidden somewhere in the house or around it. I was good, it’s nothing scattered beyond that but I will say there are 3 envelopes in total. Happy hunting. I’ll wait for you at the end.

Another year has passed, another year with you by my side and me by yours, another year full of happy moments and some inevitable challenges meant to help us grow as individuals and as one whole.

I can’t wait to see what this next year has in store for us; what adventures it will bring us, what new challenges it will set on our paths and the memories we’ll create together to return back to in moments like the one, in which I’m currently writing this note to you.

You… The biggest gift a man could wish for. My little wicked witch. My one and only true love. My gorgeous, smart assistant. My Veritty.

I could keep going, calling you my inspiration in life, telling you every single little thing I love about you but you already know that, don’t you?

And speaking of memories and moments in which to remember them, you know I’ve never been the one to reflect on a passing year. My past has always been a place I didn’t like going back to… But it all changed when I met you. Now each moment spent with you is a memory I cherish, a memory I want to go back to. And I love seeing how much we’ve grown together, how much our love has grown and keeps growing.

Thank you for each of these moments, these memories which I can now reflect on and feel my heart fill up with joy when I wake up next to you each morning, always a little before you, so that I can see that beautiful, still sleepy smile curve the corners of your lips when your eyes meet mine, knowing there will be many more of them in the future, just waiting to be discovered, created, enjoyed and collected to be reflected upon in coming years.

Thank you for being patient enough to wait for me, thank you for never losing your hope in us but mostly for loving me. Loving both the good and the bad equally.
