               𝐀𝐋𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐔𝐍 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐎 𝐒𝐄𝐓, and most residents of new york city were rushing to their homes, danielle was far from settling for the day. work didn’t solely occupy her life as most people her age were expected to have as hustling and bustling after work became her daily pursuit of liberty and happiness. perhaps being raised sheltered was the core reason for her action, but nonetheless, she came to be a very adventurous person despite the need to be serious in today’s career-dependent society. stepping out of her workplace, dani immediately brought her phone out from her purse to call that one person she’s planned to spend the rest of the day with. ❝ hello there, shortcake ! where are you ? ❞ starting the conversation animatedly, anyone could already tell that dani was eager to carry on with her mission: get melanie’s mind off of work. mind you, she really needs it, she thought. ❝ well, you and i are spending a little girls’ night out, and no, i don’t take no for an answer. so stay where you are, i’m coming to fetch you. ❞

Gianna whistled to herself as she quickly grabs a plate near one of her co-workers, placing it down on the table. It was a busy day in the restaurant but today, her job was to work on a special assignment. She had about five minutes to get this special dish ready. It has been almost three hours and now, she needs to set up the food in a presentable manner. She reaches for a knife, cutting glove and cutting board. Next, she grabs her bowl of duck and quickly cuts them into slices. She places the slices on each corner of the plate. Then she arranges buttered apricots, some pak choi leaves and crispy croquettes around the pieces of duck. Finally, she drizzles some of her mixture of cocoa and tonka beans over it. “And I only had one minute left.” She muttered, shaking her head to the side. For hours, she has been ignoring the buzzing energy in the dining area to focus on her work. Her “special assignment “consist of the dish: Tandoori duck breast with duck croquettes, apricots, and pak choi. She looks up at seeing Melanie walk into the kitchen, “I’m all done. What do you think?” She asks with a nervous smile on her face. After a moment, she blurts out, “Please let me know how it tastes. I picture it being on the sweet and savory side.”

The acts of violence on the Fae still rang within his soul, slightly heart wrenching. He kept mostly to himself about it though as he made his round. Prince Consort was a title that meant he had to converse with the Lords and Ladies of each court. It had been the perfect excuse to catch up with Melanie, just to see how she was feeling. Cassius was always someone who was in tune with his feelings, and he worried and cared for the other fae as Giselle had just not in the same capacity as she did. Yet, he knew the importance of meeting with the various courts meant to the Queen. “Melanie. I am glad to see you are alive.” If he were any more of an open person, perhaps he would have found himself giving her a hug, but affection was not one of his strong suits. He waited for her to let him in to her home, brushing past her before taking a quick look around. “I assuming you are fairing well. Or at least I hope.”
