Her mother had always told her the way to a man’s heart was his stomach. Unfortunately, Isadora never had the time to cook a proper meal anymore, but that didn’t means he didn’t want to try to impress Lucius. She was well aware that the likelihood that he would ever reciprocate her attraction was slim to none. Never the less, she could at least show her appreciation for him and all he had done for her as of late. She had taken the time to order a few things from the local Chinese restaurant (but made sure to get a spare menu in case he wanted something different). With the bag full of food, the small brunette made her way over to his home. However, as she exited her car and approached the front door, she noticed another man waiting. She could only describe the gentleman as rough looking. He seemed tired, worn thin, a bit on edge. This tugged at her heart strings almost as much as it made her nervous. She cleared her throat before speaking up, her wary eyes meeting his. “I’m sorry, I didn’t know Lucius was going to be having company or else--” She sighed, looking down at the takeout. “I’ll leave this on the front step and be on my way, if need be. Again, my apologies, sir.”
