"Hmm, someone with a good heart, able to laugh at themselves and at me, someone who thinks of others but isn't afraid to occasionally be a little selfish. Oh, have to have a love of food. Physically? A little bit taller than me, but not by much. Dark, shaggy hair with curls. A nice, full beard - preferably with racing stripes. Someone who you can tell smiles a lot. I like when you can see it around their eyes."

"One thing? I suppose y'all would throw me to the wolves if I said something like 'everything', or 'that he's himself', so... His eyes. He has very expressive eyes."

Are you and Sol in a honeymoon period or do you think this level of being besotted is sustainable?
"I don't believe in a honeymoon period. I think relationships are exactly what you put into 'em. If you let yourself get complacent, then yeah, the 'new' feeling will fade. But if you actively work to enjoy each other and keep surprising each other, I think that you can only get happier over time. And yes, I know that sounds cheesy as hell, but I don't give a damn."

What do you see your future with Sol looking like?
"Honestly I don't know. I know the future I dream about us having, which would include the world returning to a somewhat normal state, maybe marriage and kids. In reality though? I'm living in the present and not the future, because no one knows what the future holds in this upside down place. But I know we'll face whatever comes our way together, good or bad."

You know babies are never gonna happen, right? Even if the conditions were there Sol would punk out because he thinks he doesn't deserve anything *nice*.
"I'm not under any sort of delusions that having kids would be the best idea in this world, but saying 'never' is pretty pessimistic. Besides, I think Sol would surprise you if you let him. I don't think he'd punk out at all. In fact, I think he'd step up more than I could ever hope for if we ever got pregnant together."

Cass took down the note, staring at it with a big ass grin before she took it inside the house, digging out a pen. Just below the ‘no’ box, she created a new box with a checkmark inside, scrawling the word ‘abso-fucking-lutely’ next to it along with a little winky face and a heart. It didn’t take her too long to jog over to Sol’s RV and stick the note to the door for him to find later.
