Character from the story that’s been brewing in my head for millennia
Lyrics from Amalee’s cover of Idol (from “Oshi no Ko”)
Sometimes it feels a bit redundant to keep bringing up the same fics over and over, but these lines are so fricking iconic. @bitterbeetle 's Foreign Scenes was my first Klance fanfic, and I'm not gonna lie, I reread portions of it everyday and I always have a tab open to it on my phone. It was the fic that made me realize that I could be more than just a casual observer of fanon, of fanfic and hcs, that I could be a part of the fandom, and w/o them, I don't think I would've loved this community (or even Klance) as deeply as I do. @hiuythn 's there, nestled against his pulse was my second fanfic, and wow, can you imagine the angst it brought me. I love this fic so much, and it brought me to tears so many times. Then, ofc, we have @dimplesandcurlsss HDBAH. Who doesn't know this fic, or the Providence speech. This fic has my heart, and I constantly recommend this story to people, even if they aren't familiar with VLD (Yall should also check out her other stories, especially Follow My Lead). Now, I've suggested fics to yall before, and all of them I love equally. But these three, they represent the points at which I fell further and further in love with the fandom, where I began to envision myself talking to other fans and writing my own fanfic and finding characters who I could see myself in. They are special in that they brought me into the Klance fandom. Now, as for @apvrrish 's fit the crown to my head, I've yet to read it. I've been recommended it countless of times, but I'm saving it for a time when I'm feeling especially low, and I need something to pick me up. Irrespective of that fact, these authors are some of my biggest inspirations, and I love them so much that I'm honest to god tearing up typing this. But please, please, support their work. Whether that's reading their stories for the first time, rereading it, leaving comments and Kudos, or recommending their fics, please. Les amo con todo mi corazón.
