Matt doesn’t go to the same church he used to when he was a child as he is afraid of less than positive reactions from the folks there.
Matt's dead name was Martha Mary Murdock. (Originally, I wasn't going to make it that on the nose, but my first cats were named Mary and Martha, so it stuck.)
Matt has had top surgery, but the scars are barely noticeable thanks to the ones he got from crime fighting.
Matt got his tube tied sometime during college due to his freedom. He lied to Foggy about what the surgery was for.
Foggy and Karen actually don't know Matt is trans masc, even after having known him for so long.
Matt is hesitant to get intimate with pretty much anyone, as he fears being transgender might be a turn-off. (He's also still Catholic, despite not being the firmest believer.)
Matt was actually quite comfortable in his body up until he left the orphanage. When he went out into the world, he got more self conscious.
Matt didn't experience gender disphoria in the usual way. He might not have been able to see his body, but he could still feel the parts he hated.
Matt doesn't want bottom surgery, as it isn't that important to him.
He wears a packer in his Daredevil suit to keep up appearances.
Although he's dated and been intimate before, none of his ex-partners ended up discovering he was trans. He was really good at hiding it.
One time, Foggy caught Matt taking his testosterone pills and thought he was doing drugs. Matt made sure to take the label off his capsules after that.
