"Oh, God." Matt mumbled, as your dog jumped on top of him. The guide dog let out a tiny whine, licking Matt's face.

You let out a soft laugh, reaching out and moving your hand steadily up until you find the dog's soft fur.

"Have you considered getting a dog yourself?" You asked, cuddling further into your boyfriend's side.

Matthew hadn't told you of his.. nighttime counterpart. He'd only been dating you for three or so month, it was too.. soon.

While you couldn't see his cuts or bruises, you could hear him whine when you touched a particularly hurtful spot.
