I just had a check in appointment with the surgeon to make sure everything looks good. No signs of infection, swelling is minimal, drains are good in color, no clotting. He re wrapped my chest in the bandage, it's a bit tighter than before. So it's a tad bit uncomfortable for now. But things are going well. My chest reveal is Thursday at 4:30. I will be recording it so pop in for that. Should I go live? Or record and post? Thanks for all the support. My sternum area is in a lot of pain. Swelling is slowly, very slowly, going down. But I couldn't be happier and more comfortable in my body. It's so surreal having this chest be mine. If someone would have told me a year ago that I would be where I am now. I'm obsessed. No shame. My steristrips came off already. But I started using mepitac tape to help with he healing and scarring. My nips have me a slight infection scare, but I think I was overreacting, because they look decently good. There's some swelling still visible on my left side and under my armpits on my sides. Yes I'm going to be posting this a lot. Because I'm damn proud of myself. I never liked myself, my body. I started to lose weight with #keto because I started to learn to love myself. But this, this feels like home. This is a body I cherish. A body I love. A body I am proud to call mine. I am so so grateful to everyone that's been on this journey with me.
