People who genuinely get upset at me for being a lesbian becuase I “identify as a guy” are so funny. The keyword is I *identify as*, my internal identity is not immediately a concrete reality. Biologically, I am female. Physically, I am female. In some social settings I am female, in some im perceived as male. Even if others perceive me as male, I was still socialized as a female and I am still biologically female. Modifying my identity to comfort those who believe reality can be changed by simple identification is stupid. Gender is a construct. Gender identity is purely internal. Gender expression is a choice. Sexuality is innate. Sex is real.
