If your response to 60-70 women sobbing because their abortion appointments have been canceled due to the recent overturning of Roe is "Lol, what a shame! Those poor women have to drive an extra two hours to kill their babies now", I think you are just a terrible person actually.
That is 70 children that will be born.
That is 70 children that will be born into living situations that cannot suitably occupy them.
That is 70 children who may not even be healthy enough to sustain without causing their suffering.
That is 70 mothers that may have a chance of dying due to giving birth.
That is 70 mothers who may be unsuitable to be mothers, either because of age, class, work or religion.
That is 70 mothers who may have been raped.
That is 70 mothers who are crying, sobbing, because their entire lives have just been uprooted, turned upside down, due to circumstances that they may have had no control over.
And because of Roe, there will be more. Much, much more. More unsafe abortions, more suffering children born into unfit conditions, more suffering and grieving women, and ultimately, more deaths.
And you are laughing. You are mocking these women who are grieving. You are mocking these women who are experiencing a sense of sadness that you never will.
I have been mutuals with people of all opinions, even ones differing from mine, because it's good to see different perspectives. Encasing yourself in an echo-chamber is ultimately hurtful and gets nobody anywhere. However, this level of mockery, of bullying, is a disrespect that I will never tolerate. If you mock women who need abortions right now, the women who are suffering their own grievances, you are a terrible scum that I will never respect.
