S4 (Spirit) - Early s5 - Late s5

More information + bonus stuff below:

I essentially just made their s4 attire more slutty. Like. That's really it lmao. I also changed the metal to silver from gold to symbolise the moon. Outfit inspired from this design in my Greek attire post too. His hair is short and super choppy because it just cut it, Allumos is a lot less mentally well in my rewrite, this is one of the results of that. He cuts its hair whenever it enters an episode. I gave Allumos heavy scarring (can be seen in more detail below in a full body shot) since they literally fought a war, though (at least) one of those scars is from friendly fire lol. I gave Allumos a belt of sorts, I didn't draw them cause I still haven't worked out the designs, but it would be used to hold its Celestial Keys — no Minecraft logic here. Lacrima marking/scar!!! Inspired by a black hole. Gave them very pointy ears too, because is it even a human anymore?

I honestly didn't change much about Allumos's (early) s5 design — I like it, it's simple but conveys what it needs to. Patrick|Pádraig is a lot tanner (or, well, he's a regular skin tone Allumos is just albino lol) than Allumos. Pádraig also got kinda pointy ears from Allumos's possession. The Lacrima marking/scar carried over onto Pádraig's body too. I gave Allumos's cloak a blue stripe to allude to his himation that it wore during political events (also from my Greek attire post). Changed the ribbon to purple because it still has that "purple = respectable" mindset lol.

I had so much fun drawing the doll joints here lol (it was torture, but ultimately I'm proud of it). After Salode, Allumos was gifted a replica of its original body by the Celestial Spirit King. This was only after Allumos practically begged on his knees to bring them all home however, even willing to actually die for it. God, they hate each other. Anyways, the new body is pretty 'fleshy' feeling, but there is a slight difference to the feel of it. Allumos also can't really feel cold or heat anymore, only if it's extreme temperatures. It has a lot of complex joints so it can actually still move but he now struggles with semi-frequent dislocation. They also feel cold to the touch. Aside from the body, I gave it a different outfit (yes, Pádraig finally got to wear his own clothes too), the trousers became a sash thing, with white trousers for a bit of colour balance. He's wearing a purple, blue and yellow chlamys, a piece of home, so to speak. You can't see it behind their hair but it's held with a sun clasp.

Gosh this was a HEADACHE to draw lol. I wanted to be absolutely happy with the redesign, which meant making sure it would hold up in several months time (not easy for an indecisive perfectionist!). I specifically learnt how to draw leg muscles properly for this drawing — and it's not even visible half the time!! Though I will say it was a litttleee easier because I've already had a lot of the ideas for his redesign for several months, so all I had to do was translate it properly into my art. I might make a Patrick/Pádraig design after this for consistency, BUT also looking at the other redesigns I've done it may be best for me to stick with guild leaders (+ second-in-commands). Idk I've already started working on Flurry so I'll probably stick with the latter. Anyways hope you lot like this design WOOHOOO I can draw sometimes

Brandon "Andy" Diabolus , (she/her)

s4 - s5 - post s5 Brandon redesigns:3

Ohhh Brandon the closet was glass 💜 I didn't change much about their s4 design because I thought it was alright. The eye colour matches Ritchie's, and I made the trousers longer to have a bit more of a difference between how they dress in s4. It'll be more clear when I make Ritchie's redesigns, but Brandon is (was?) the far less flashy of the two. The medallion is a symbol of Ritchie, he has a pink/purple one to match. Gave them silver earrings because why not, they were a prince after all.

Brandon found style, I'm so proud of her. I changed quite a bit of this design lol. She is a little more comfortable dressing more flashy like Ritchie; the Jupiter possession acted like a death scare for her, so she promised herself that she'll (try to) live life to the fullest, that includes dressing how she likes. Wind pattern on the bottom of her trousers. Medallion now acts as a clip for her fabric belt. She has yet to find a shirt that speaks to her so bandages work for now. Is wearing high heels wildly impractical? Yes. Is she usually incredibly practical? Also yes. Is it fun to be even taller to look down on literally everyone? Absolutely. (In all seriousness she does have sandals she can wear when she needs to lol)

I'm a believer that those canon capes are wildly impractical for full arm movement, cause like that'd be heavy if it was a proper fabric, so I CHANGED it. Now she can move her arms fully AND her chest is even more protected. #modestqueen (/j)

Ahhh The Blight™, I made it more akin to the markings in her Devil Force cause that made more sense to me.

Urghhh post season 5 Brandon is so. Fucking Sad. Permanently scarred face with both Jupiter's markings (right) and small markings from Tempestus (left). Her left eye also became red due to having Two Devils Inside Her. She's basically spilling out mana and she's Not Having A Good Time. She got pointy ears from this, also even sharper teeth. Wearing one of Ritchie's earrings. Wore funeral clothing for wayyyy longer than socially acceptable. Also in a meltdown she cut her hair off because haven't we all. Permanently puffy eyes from constantly crying. She's about to do something stupid. He's not even (fully) dead in my rewrite but I think that makes things worse.

Woooo adore her sm especially the girl failure she becomes post season five I need to draw her towering over everyone cause she's 6'5" without heels, WITH HEELS? And she can run in them like I'm already scared

Mitch “Viper” Medina , (he/they/it)

Season 5 attire

Design choices below :

(Viper does still wear his eye covering I just didn't draw it so their face can be fully visible.) Yeesh so I was planning to keep his outfit Much more canon compliant however I have my own ideas for how Atlantidians would expect Mages to dress, that being relatively traditional, so unfortunately the more alternative look got to go. They Will go tits out in the Grimshade Guildhall, don't let that cloth fool you, Atlantidians are fucking allergic to wearing clothes. That armlet holds that little dragon jewellery Viper has in s5, I remember it's significant (relates to his dragon iirc) so I wanted to still incorporate it into the design. Boots don't exist anymore /j

Gave it a relatively marking-less Lacrima scar; the reason so much of his chest is scarred compared to other Lacrima users, however, is because of the uh... circumstances that it was put in. The "tattoos" now go around the entirety of the right of its body. Missing a finger! Manz got up to a lot. Their hair changed colour because of Magic overuse, same can be said about the dark markings on its body. I was going to make the markings more scale-like, but I chose against that design choice for now, that may change in the future though.

Relatively skinny because they're so damn malnourished lmao get this guy some vitamins or something. (Also pls tell it that they can train more than just his arms, I don't think they realise /j)

Kit Fotis , (she/her)

Season 4 outfit - Season 5 outfit

I wanted her s4 attire to be more reminiscent of a street fighter — she's still in fight or flight mode even if she hasn't realised it. She's also not yet fully confident in dressing more 'feminine' but that changes as her support system grows throughout s5 and she recovers from some serious trauma (cough cough), which makes her more confident to express her personal style.

Her cape was frayed and literally falling apart but she insisted on keeping it. Also I changed the cut of the cape to give her more arm movement.

At the beginning of the s5 timeline, she was heavily scarred, for a multitude of reasons (I didn't draw the scars because I Forgot but pretend I didntttt), but after Pyrrhos (Polly) 'imprinted' on her, they basically all disappeared — perks of Divine Magic¹, you can't really scar. Slowly, after gaining Phoenix Slayer Magic, she developed markings, with wings growing behind her ears. At first she tried to hide it because she didn't want to look inhuman, but eventually she learned to embrace them.

She has the symbol of Aries on her because uhhh Celestial Spirit with a Fire Element ! I mean it when I say they play a much bigger role in my rewrite.

Her necklace has beads the colour of Menodora's (Marshie) eyes. The other beads she wears were gifted by Polly. Her belt with the green gem symbolises Tapio.

Honestly, originally I was happy to keep Kit's design quite canon compliant, but the more I developed the Culture of Atlantide the more I realised it just wouldn't really make sense for her to dress like that, so I had to make changes.

I didn't include her powered up form because I already spent quite a while on this and gonna be so real I'm tired and hungry lmao. It's just a red ombre hair and red eyes like in canon, 'bout it.

¹ Divine Magic is an umbrella term that refers to any Magic relating to an immortal being — a God, Spirit, Phoenix and so forth. Not a Magic Type, just a term used to indicate where a Mage falls on the spectrum of Slayer Magic.

Ritchie Diabolus , (he/him)

Season 4 - season 5

Design choices below:

I kept his s4 design mostly the same, similar to Brandon. I made the tips of his hair blonde to match her, also made both of their hair fluffy/curly because I think it suits them. I decided to have it that the guild leaders + second in commands wear their guild marks on their shoulders, so it's been moved. Wanted his outfit to be a little more distinct to Brandon's so I changed the cut of the trousers and gave him a sash. Also a Lacrima scar, realising while I'm writing this that I didn't add one to Brandon's redesign, but she has an inverted version of it. I tried to make the scar reminiscent of lightning though I'm not sure if that came across. Upon looking at the HD(?) design of s4 Ritchie the pendant he has is actually a swirl with a lightning bolt, but to match with Brandon I added a pink gem to it. I'll get into it more for the second design, but I want to make it more clear that Ritchie especially comes from royalty — he's scrappy but undoubtedly gives off that vibe that he grew up with money (Hence the gold embroidery).

For s5 I decided to kinda go all out with his design in terms of "looking rich". His hair is still grown out from when he was falling apart over the loss of Brandon, Ritchie hasn't been bothered to cut it. Gave him a necklace because I can, for the past decade and a bit he's been living mostly plainly — besides the alcohol consumption — but being in his thirties, almost losing his sister, among other things, has left him a little more willing to sparkle Louder. His cloak is two-toned, lighter on the inside, darker on the outside, keeping the gold bordering to drive home a more regal feel. I had a lot of fun layering the trousers and cloth panels ngl hehe. The darker ones pattern matches the pattern on Brandon's trousers, and the lighter panel is reminiscent of clouds. Gave the tie of the cloak a little more structure because one little clasp is NOT keeping an ankle length cloak in place. Still has the pink gem that symbolises Brandon, but it's been removed from the pendant and instead placed on his belt.

Overall I just wanted to make Ritchie a little more Flashy to match his personality. Something I kinda wanna explore is how their royal upbringing affects the twins till this day. Ritchie happens to be a little. Entitled ..and arrogant... Lol. He also sometimes forgets (or moreso forgot, he's gotten a bit better) that money doesn't grow on trees. I think we definitely missed out on getting a little bit of that considering they definitely wouldn't have started working out the issues with how they were raised when they first got to Atlantide/Earthland considering they both went Mad With Power for several years. And it didn't really feel like they were raised in a royal/noble environment besides a few instances.
