My TMA Origins au Masterpost, ig? Going to be editing and updating this post as i go along

the idea of this au is crossing a largely FTO inspired cast into the world of Magnus Archives.

if you have not listened to the magnus archives, i recommend you do.

This Au will contain no character spoilers to the world of magnus archives, but will include spoilers to the world of magnus archives

Explanations (and spoilers) under cut:

The Dragon Slayers (- seek cause i remember nothing about him) are Avatars of the different fears in this au

Blake: art, statement. Avatar of the Vast. Mainly through drowning, and the ocean. In possession of a cursed book, which is what led to her Becoming.

Mario: art. Statement 1 2. Avatar of the Web. Heavy on the spider imagery, but mainly operates through the fear of lack of control. Was once marked by the Buried before his Becoming. Has a ship in this au.

Allumos: statement 1. Allumos is not so much an Avatar, and does not really belong to a single entity. He is a Manifestation of the Stranger, and The Spiral. For those who know, think the Not!Them crossed with the Homophobic Vase, and that’s basically Allumos.

Viper: statement 1. Avatar of the Hunt. I did consider making him Filth/Corruption, but went with Hunt for the overall attitude instead. His main prey is any manifestation of the Corruption. He is still Blind.

Davis: statement not yet written. Avatar of the Vast, mainly through storms, open sky, and heights. So the more traditional Vast avatar. Unclear on how he Became what he is. But he remains blind.

Bryan: art, appears in another statement, but a statement about him not yet written. Avatar of the Desolation. Part of the Lightless Flame. Dont yet know how he Became.

Colin: statement not yet written. Avatar of the Dark. Is in fact a reformed convict in this au, but still very much involved in the Cult

the archive/research cast compose of:

Ritchie, Brandon(who i will very very likely make a trans woman), Jakey, Kit, and Miss P as their boss.

David is largely uninvolved in the horrors, besides the fact he’s dating Mario.

Lucas is tragically very involved in the horrors. He encounters a new horror every other day. At the time of Statement 1, he is marked by the Vast.

Flurry is Davis’s boss! As in she owns the bar where Davis works. They have also been marked by the Stranger.

Patrick is involved in the Horrors, in the sense that he is Allumos’s … friend. He will make a statement.

Micheal is involved in the horrors, as he is in the same Cult as Colin. Will probably eventually make a statement.

I Also have plans for how most of the archive cast will die, if i decide to kill them.

Ships in the au: Mavid. More to come at my friend’s pestering probably. Brakey, and Apparently, Micheal x Lucas (blame my friend)

I also finished my redesign of Brandon for my FTO rewrite. I gave him warm and cold weather outfits.

Details and close ups below

Body changes:

I gave him pointy ears, I have him get them after the S5 finale due to getting Tempestus from Ricthie. For a scar I gave him one from when he got his Lachrima also I made it kinda similar to the shape in the center of Divinus' guild mark. Also I made his eye a bit of a mix between it's designs in S4 and S5, with the sort of peppermint spiral it had going on in S4. I also tried to make his hair fluffy like a cloud, and I let him keep the blue fade from the finale.

Warm clothes:

This is mostly based off of his main S5 outfit, but I did take the fabric accents from future Jupiter's outfit and put cloud-like patterns on them. Also changed up the belt area a little made it look more realistic like it's holding down the fabric. I also kept the pre-finale colors cause I don't like the finale colors they're too saturated. The buttons and metal parts were replaced with silver since I thought the slightly pinkest metal didn't make the most sense.

Cold clothes:

This is based off of his S4 outfit. I did make it fluffy for cold weather, there was a little bit of a question of weather he'd wear a shirt but it was decided that the twins wouldn't wear shirts. I made the metal accent on the poncho a clip to make it easier to use his arm and made it silver for the same reason as the warm weather outfit. Also I gave him winter boots with a bit of fluff on them as well. Also switched the chain to the belt like it was in S4.

s4 - s5 - post s5 Brandon redesigns:3

Ohhh Brandon the closet was glass 💜 I didn't change much about their s4 design because I thought it was alright. The eye colour matches Ritchie's, and I made the trousers longer to have a bit more of a difference between how they dress in s4. It'll be more clear when I make Ritchie's redesigns, but Brandon is (was?) the far less flashy of the two. The medallion is a symbol of Ritchie, he has a pink/purple one to match. Gave them silver earrings because why not, they were a prince after all.

Brandon found style, I'm so proud of her. I changed quite a bit of this design lol. She is a little more comfortable dressing more flashy like Ritchie; the Jupiter possession acted like a death scare for her, so she promised herself that she'll (try to) live life to the fullest, that includes dressing how she likes. Wind pattern on the bottom of her trousers. Medallion now acts as a clip for her fabric belt. She has yet to find a shirt that speaks to her so bandages work for now. Is wearing high heels wildly impractical? Yes. Is she usually incredibly practical? Also yes. Is it fun to be even taller to look down on literally everyone? Absolutely. (In all seriousness she does have sandals she can wear when she needs to lol)

I'm a believer that those canon capes are wildly impractical for full arm movement, cause like that'd be heavy if it was a proper fabric, so I CHANGED it. Now she can move her arms fully AND her chest is even more protected. #modestqueen (/j)

Ahhh The Blight™, I made it more akin to the markings in her Devil Force cause that made more sense to me.

Urghhh post season 5 Brandon is so. Fucking Sad. Permanently scarred face with both Jupiter's markings (right) and small markings from Tempestus (left). Her left eye also became red due to having Two Devils Inside Her. She's basically spilling out mana and she's Not Having A Good Time. She got pointy ears from this, also even sharper teeth. Wearing one of Ritchie's earrings. Wore funeral clothing for wayyyy longer than socially acceptable. Also in a meltdown she cut her hair off because haven't we all. Permanently puffy eyes from constantly crying. She's about to do something stupid. He's not even (fully) dead in my rewrite but I think that makes things worse.

Woooo adore her sm especially the girl failure she becomes post season five I need to draw her towering over everyone cause she's 6'5" without heels, WITH HEELS? And she can run in them like I'm already scared
