Ladies and gentlemen! Boys and girls, I announce to you, a once in a life time audience.

Though one thing was for sure, The Mad Hatter hadn’t entirely lost his mind. Though to some extent he had found his own misguided thoughts to have curved along the surface of what he had yet to understand was his own sanity lacking in some places than others.

The male had found himself in an awkward standstill as those violet hues lingered upon the long chimes that rang and swayed in the brush of his own digits. In all blatant honesty, the Mad Hatter’s attractive to the things that were perhaps in their own manner, the most simple of all things that were questionable. Reasonably speaking, he had found himself momentarily lost.

For the snow was a thing that coated his own heart; memories of his past that were held closest to him amidst their persona of being something in their own languid design. Untouchable, unobtainable and needless to say, uncapturable – for the snow melted in his grasp the moment his cool skin met with the temperature of the snow itself. Though the Hatter had said anything at that very moment. 

Yet it wasn't the sound of the circus that blared from the television that captured his attention at that moment in time. He was distracted to be obvious in all manners, he was confused perhaps. Though he said nothing at that quaint moment in time. Except, the visitor of another, perhaps he'd trotted in unguarded territory.

▒ Symphony 02: Verräter ▒

Money had been the fuel of the tiny black world of Maxland, and the Piper its ruler. Blood ran as its rivers and the air would often smell of the newly-made pipes which Max was infamous for. In its crevices there would be no rats or other kinds of pests for they would be made to drown. These pests included the Good – the rebellious, righteous insects of the Homelands. They were, as a matter of absolute fact (a few of which Max was firm upon), mere annoyances for the Adversary, and for himself. It was even more annoying when they tried to escape, taking all the resources of the claimed lands with them. And by resources, Max obviously meant manpower. There was a reason he fought and killed in this war, and that was to make the rivers of good, old, dilapidated Maxland run free with the blood of his enemies, with its ground made of the cold, shiny, valuable gold – preferably obtained from hard-working pigs like the innocent Fables.

Which was why he sat now on the branch of a tree, tapping his fingers restlessly upon his flute; the Good was trying to whisk that important manpower the innocent provided, and the Pied Piper simply could not allow such a thing to happen. While the commanders of the Adversary were tasked with the eradication of the forces of the Good (good God, the mere thought of them made acidic bile rise up his larynx and dare to settle in the back of his mouth), he was stuck in this damned tree waiting for an innocent, impressionable, fleeing Fable as yet a spy.

Power could not be gained through being an assassin, but he hoped that with the outcome of this mission he’d be granted a seat as a commander or general of some sort. Too unstable? Hah! No – no, Max was stable enough to claim power should it ever present itself! Unstable in his sanity, perhaps, but not his intentions.

He’d almost given himself away with an impatient tune then, but the sound of the fallen leaves of the Black Forest being crushed under a pair of hurried footsteps reached his sensitive ears. Eyes as dead and as brown as the leaves that have been trampled upon surveyed the dimly illuminated surface of the Forest, and – he saw them. Cloaked and hooded, as if to blend with the darkness of this dismal environment, yet superbly failing by the innocence they practically reeked of, and the royal clothing which peeked from underneath the worn material. How disgusting, how vile!

And how fun to crush!

The branch he was on was high enough to prevent him from being spotted, yet low enough so that he could jump from it without hurting himself. Jumping, in fact, was a more lively description of what he did – pushing himself off of the tree and landing, cat-like, on his feet. His possessions shifted in his coat, but did not dislodge themselves, and so he walked towards the wary pair.

“Good morrow to you, sir and madam!” he greeted with a grin, despite the worn look on his face that matched his old coat, and sounding like this was just another, peaceful day in spite of the war raging on around them. If they were smart (which he highly doubted, seeing as they were in the Dark Forest, and no sane man would ever travel through the terrain), they’d know that his behaviour was more than a little ill-placed in such ‘rough’ times. Well, rough for them, anyhow. The Adversary was winning, and the Pied Piper was to be paid sometime soon – in full! “Heading to the Portals?”

oo5 || Ad libitum w. Victoria

Though those field trips weren’t customary, researching was still part of her job, and when the demand of taking sometime out to go downtown seeking aid about a particular flower Kate couldn’t let the opportunity of adding a good to another go. After all, it had been quite a while since the last time she saw the beautiful brunette she held dear close to her heart and the doctor was sure that her friend could be much more of a help than any kind of technical book.

Her way towards the Red Svner Florist, the lovely shop owned by Elisa and had been drawing attention from the mundane since its opening, was easy despite of the snow and the cold piercing wind that almost made the red-haired regret her decision to walk there, but luckily enough it wasn’t more than a few blocks from the hospital she worked at anyways.

Kate was welcomed by the sound of bells right when she pushed the door opening, the soft smile danced across her reddish lips at the cozy feeling coming from the warm environment. Once inside the shop, it was easy for a flora admirer like the doctor to lose herself in between the beautiful arrangements that decorate the store, she almost forgot to call out for her friend. Her already pink colored cheeks because of the wind became a bit warmer as she quietly scold herself for almost forgetting her manners.

“Princess Elisa?” Katherine called once she made sure there wasn’t anyone else inside the store, she quietly thanked for the cold weather for the drop of the client flow on that day, it was a requirement for their disguise that their real name were dropped yet Kate never felt comfortable in not politely refer to the young princess and even after many years Lee Jihyun didn’t felt like her own name.

“It’s Kate! I’m happy in seeing you again, it had been a while!” Her soft smile brightened up at the sight of the princess. “I’ve missed you.”

How do they usually dress? 

So, usual fashion.

For a long time she lived under a shadow of an ex-queen and princess and Victoria couldn't have been a better mentor for Soojung. She was used a way more than the mermaid, and the youngest followed her steps and innocently started to treat the woman as if she was the Mother she had lost long ago. And what daughter doesn't put on her mother's clothes?

So Soojung started dressing up like a real princess, a human one would - classy even if casual, never slutty, even if at least half of her closet were made of shorts, short dresses and jeans not as loose as the other girl's.

(She was a mermaid after all, and one with the luck to have stunning legs to show off.)

What do they wear to sleep?

Away from the tight, short clothes and casually uncomfortable clothes, the word for her night was comfort - that when she remembered taking off her clothes before passing out. But well, when her memory worked, old nightgowns were the answer for the perfect clothing for the end of a tiring day. Yes, the ones your grandma would probably use. Soojung used them all before her anyway.

Do they wear jewelry?

Only if necessary, when she's asked for something important on university or even at work, or at some friend's celebration. Fancy jewelry is not her favorite - at all, but she had been using a bracelet and a necklace she won on Christmas. (Maybe just because she was sure it was something her Father would have gotten her if he had the opportunity.)

Is there anything about their appearance they wish they could change?

Honestly? She wished she hadn't change so much for something that wasn't worth all the world she lost. She wished she was a mermaid again, if she had her family with her, it is. If not, it doesn't matter how she looks really.

How would they look as the opposite sex?

Do you mean if she was a guy? ...Uh. She'd probably have shoulder-lenght hair as her Father, maybe a little of a beard? I can't picture Soojung as a guy, I'm sorry.

I've had better thoughts, and inspiration, and the FC I seemed to have found to be the most similar to Soojung, would be Jung Jin Young; with hair red and slight long, bangs covering his deep eyes, enchanting voice and that tiny smile of his, there is no better.

What do they smell like? Why (do they wear the scent or does it occur naturally)?

Soojung doesn't use fancy perfumes. She tried once - when she first became a human and she was put in big bathtubs and perfumed with all the best and exotic perfumes a royal family in 1830 could find - but it all seemed so not her, it was ridiculous.

Nowdays, she tries to keep it simple. Deodorant (fragrance free), and how she smells depends on the body lotion she's using at the time, but generally, its sweet and salty but not too much. Some have said she smells like the ocean.

Do they have an accurate mental picture of their appearance (how they see themselves versus how the world sees them)?

Her appearance is a soft spot for Soojung. She knows how she looks - she has a mirror, duh - but it doesn't pleases her. She owns the most beautiful pair of legs, given by the Great Lion himself to her, but it is like they aren't there. Or explaining better, she didn't want them to be there and that's why she doesn't care. Her hair though, complimented by many, is what she likes most - maybe because she remembers how soft and red her mom's hair was when she was still a toddler.
