This was super fun to work on and a nice breather from the all the Pharah art I do (nothing wrong with that but I like to expand my horizons)

In China, statues of lion-like creatures known as foo dogs, foo lions, lion dogs or simply giardian lions, are common in front of temples, palaces and tombs. They were believed to have magical protective properties. They are usually found in pairs on either side of an entrance, but also appear as door knockers and in pottery.
Foo dogs are believed to be based on Asiatic lions. The male sometimes has its right front paw on an embroidered ball, while the female can be carved with a cub. They are said to reflect the emotion of the lion rather than its actual physical appearance.
