yeah no you totally have the right but the fact that it's that much of an issue that my mom is literally glaring and basically shoving people on an extremely crowded train to have enough room to sit because they were taught they had the right to behave like that is complete bullshit. also on the different types of feminism thing - there are about a million different types of feminism based in different philosophies so it's all what you believe! (thank you women's studies hell yeah)

but gender roles are inherently sexist so yeah it is a sexism thing and also it's just a basic feminism thing because men are taught they're important and allowed to take up as much room as they want while women are taught to be small and not bother people because they're an inconvenience

yeah yeah you're right in that but i still think its stupid i mean cmon man if you want to sit taking up all the space on the subway just do it, you have to fight back against both sexism and gender roles

just in regards to the subway/train thing I'm from long island and go into nyc all the time so I'm constantly taking the trains and my mom literally takes the train every single day and it is true that guys sit like that a huge amount of the time and literally don't give a shit if the train's crowded/whatever

yeah yeah here is like that too but i think thats a gender role thing more than a sexist thing???
