i know that Ult!Dirk mostly feels like cold, in some way terrible and scary figure, who *always there*, but i think its really cute that he almost don't use his Author Powers at Dave. Like, he plays with Kanaya and Rose, with Jake [but that almost a whole seperate case], almost with EVERYONE, and then there's Dave and all that Dirk do its "hey i need to help him confess his feelings" he even almost dont control Dave with his ultimate self powers. like. wow he still cares about Dave so much after all this???? like. fuck. its so sad but warm and cute???
