Someone in the tag tryna say it was sexist for them to give Pepa, Julieta, and Dolores the gifts they got in the movie and I’m literally like “wtf are you on???” It would be sexist if they gave them that and then the town didn’t value their gifts. But the fact is they highly valued those gifts far more than any others in the Encanto. You’re just mad for the sake of being mad.

Also. Shapeshifting and prophecies are incredibly feminine gifts as well. And talking to animals is typical of a Disney princess and yet it was given to a little boy.

None of the gifts, except Luisa’s, are coded masculine aka for war or fighting. And that’s a huge feminist win that almost every gift was about caring for the community. Not warring with anyone or other people.
