A little over nine years ago a former boss of mine at Burger King set me up with this dude I had met while working at a nearby BK six months previously. I remember thinking he was cute and he gave me free food once on my day off when I came through the drive thru. On the night of our first "date" it had snowed pretty badly. He met me at my store and we were gonna hang out at my house when I got off. The first thing he ever did was clear off my car before I clocked off to surprise me. I should have known right then he was a keeper. I'm lazy and he already showed he loved doing things for me. Nine years of snow clearings and asking to please bring me a glass of water, I'm thirsty and already upstairs. Nine years of me being insufferable and him making me laugh until I am on the ground because my knees gave out. Nine years of torturing each other. Both good and bad. So what's left for two people who have been together almost a decade and lived together for two and a half years? Yesterday before we went out to eat Tyler covered my car in fake snow and asked me if I wanted to clean it off together as husband and wife. This silly fucker.
