Legend has it that if you find yourself in the centre of Australia, you may come across large flocks of Galahs wheeling about the skies in flashes of pink and grey, screaming profanities at everybody and anybody in their general vicinity. Apparently these vulgar collections arose after pet Galahs, taught strings of profanity by their owners, were released, or escaped, and joined wild flocks.
