Over the past few months I've managed to get myself in a few interesting situations. Most were quickly resolved but one has stuck with me and nags at me and pulls at the corners of my mind.

I hate genuinely liking someone. I was in a relationship for 5 years, which ended 3 months ago, and it's been so long since I've been single that I've forgotten how. To make it worse the person I happen to like is off-limits to me.

I feel like "girl-code" made sense growing up, it kept things simple and friendship simple. But life isn't simple and quite frankly it sucks to have to act differently to seem unaffected by the situation.

Blaaaaah.

Justin Vernon had the right idea...I'm about to go live in a cabin and just break my phone...I can't hurt anyone while I'm there...and nobody can hurt me while I'm there
