It’s a daily occurrence that I think about how shallow this generation is. The same generation that’s been built around sensitivity, emotions, and acceptance of everyone within, being absolutely disgusting toward those who don’t meet the criteria of being ‘pretty’ or ‘attractive’.
I’ve seen the most beautiful people, inside and out, post themselves on social media in hopes of sharing their lives with others, be slandered and harassed because of a mere flaw. Things that shouldn’t even be considered flaws.
News flash, but being human isn’t ugly. It’s a beautiful thing to see someone wake up, be able to walk, breathe in air, and live life. And these beautiful things are overlooked by miserable people who think that doing something as simple as eating, is embarrassing.
Why are we shoving people into boxes, and saying that if they don’t look or act a certain way, that it’s acceptable to discriminate against them? Life. Is. A. Gift. So next time you see someone who you don’t think looks a particular way in your standard, remember that it’s a blessing you have the ability to even see them. With your eyes, that you are blessed to view them with.
