Forever thankful for Spotlight Video and my mom allowing me to movie binge and rent several at a time and for letting me experience such fucked up movies at such a young age, alone or with my sisters--- Thankful for my sisters also having the same appreciation and for all of the scary movie or even tv show marathons when we were little kids up to now. Thankful for John Carpenter and for the original horror scene back in the day whenever it started. This genre is my absolute fucking favorite. Thank god for all things horror (!!!!!!) Cheesy as fuck. But so real. :-)

31 Days of Horror -- Day 1 Scream

"There are certain RULES that one must abide by in order to successfully survive a horror movie. For instance, number one: you can never have sex.  BIG NO NO! BIG NO NO! Sex equals death, okay? Number two: you can never drink or do drugs.  The sin factor! It's a sin. It's an extension of number one. And number three: never, ever, ever under any circumstances say, "I'll be right back." Because you won't be back."

So I don't normally do this but I just found out about this really neat phone app that I thought I would share.  The app is called NARR8 and it is an interactive story app where you can read interactive comics and stories.  It is free and is available on apple products (I have it on my iPad) as well as on other smart phones (I also have it on my Galaxy S3).  It also allows you to create your own interactive stories and share them.  I just downloaded it and started reading two horror themed stories that piqued my interest, Prime Blood and Fear Hunters, but the stories can be any genre.  I highly suggest it to comic fans or people who enjoy reading or writing their own stories.

We're all going to be together in the dark, watching The Sign of the Cross. A movie full of fire, sex, and the death of Christians. What fun.

Indie horror flick fans, here's one set to premiere October 1st at a film festival.  Billy Club follows four friends as they reunite fifteen years after three horrific homicides were committed to members of their childhood Little League team.  Their past comes back to haunt them while a mystery behind the deaths unfolds and an angry killer comes back to finish them off.

Okay so this one really looks good.  There's not much information out there on this one other then the premise of the game.  The Forest takes place after the player survives a plane crash and gets stuck in a forest.  Within the forest, players can cut down trees, build fires, scavenge for food, and then of course run away from mutant humanoid creatures.  So far looking pretty good.

Zombie fans here's a new one set to come out at some point next year called Dying Light.  What looks especially cool about this one is that players have free range over the map and can do things like jump between buildings and grappling up walls. There is also supposed to be more "exotic weaponry" outside of your typical guns and knives.  Plus during the day, players get to go around and scavenge for weapons and supplies, but at night the zombies become more aggressive and larger in numbers.  Dying Light is set to come out for Xbox 360 and PS3 as well as for PC and MAC gamers and next gen consoles.
