Light Up the City with Me
"This is so much fun!!" The exclamation was at least half true. Kristina had moved in with Aaron a few months ago, deciding to lend her abilities to only his plans. After all the times they had run into each other when she had been working for the other side, she grew tired of being pitted against a man she cared for. As the last car went up in a fireball, Kristina took the Joker's hand and pulled him off running, a smile forming on her face as he laughed the whole way.
Kristina loved her life with him, everyday had something new for them todo. But Aaron had drifted, he no longer held focus for revenge and clarity for the city. His plans had fallen to simple vandalism, while the men who ruined him walked without fear. That needed to change.
Bursting through the door of their home, if you wanted to call it that, Kristina shut the door firmly and locked it before looking at Aaron. No one understood him behind closed doors, but she did. He was a simple lived man, but his mind was twisted up like two different people battled for dominance.
"Aaron, honey come here. I need to talk to you."
Instead of waiting for a yes, she pushed him back down on the couch and plopped on to his lap. At least if she sat here she knew she would have his full attention, whether from discomfort or familiarity.
