I always wondered what happened to the puffle hander (Paige) and the elite puffles 🤔

What happened to the Elite Puffles?

I would suspect the Elite Puffles were heavily depended on in the beginning to help navigate the dark and extreme weather in the wilderness to Herbert's Fortress (or just in general, be the second group of agents that can do things no one else can). As more agents were caught, eventually Herbert noticed some were accompanied by Puffles with EPF gear. If they didn't run away and hide, or if PH didn't find them in time, Herbert would get the crab army to hunt them down and capture them. They were caged somewhere in the Fortress.

The Handler, but also the Hunter!

Her main base was the Puffle Rescue Station in the Dock. The rescue station was used to house Puffles stranded because their owner was frozen or their owner couldn't take care of them at the time. Penguins would drop them off if they found them and bring them here, or PH would go out of her way to find strays.

PH knows basically everything to do with Puffle health and care. If a Puffle was dropped off and injured, she would heal their wounds. You had the lighthouse hospital, this was basically the Puffle hospital.

PH's outlook on the Blackout was only focused on the Puffles and the island. She wondered if the EPF would call her in for her knowledge of wilderness terrain, but when they never called her, she didn't even worry about them.

To be honest, she had no time to worry about them. When her island and its creatures were threatened by the extreme climate change, she instead focused her anger at Herbert for his careless actions on the environment, and at one point, the EPF, for not apprehending him before he could attempt to do this. That doesn't mean she wasn't upset that her friends were gone, this outlook was just her way of masking it.

PH was very much on guard CONSTANTLY. Because Puffles were very much "illegal" in Club Herbert, she would always be on guard for Herbert Alliegence members who would come by and harras her station for existing and threaten to report it. She would fear constantly that sooner or later, Herbert would force her to shut down the Rescue efforts, or worse, freeze her for her crimes.

She sorta, "stole" some EPF weaponry and gear to help her fight off anything that would threaten her and help her in her rescue efforts.

Eventually, she desperately missed and needed the Elite Puffles, and while saving them, Herbert got his chance to capture her and punish her for so long evading the law.

What about the agent/ace? The protagonist?

So much potential!

Let's start with the knowledge that within the trailer, there are three penguin characters that go to stop Herbert. One girl, two guys.

Ace is supposed to represent the player, Ace is one of those three characters, just pick whichever one you think is you! The other two would be your friends. However, since only one agent actually defeats Herbert, your friends do not make it to save the island.

-The girl looks to be the leader according to the trailer idk. She's been seen caring a large pack with her. My head cannon is that she is a cool-headed COMM lead, and that pack is really a COMM radio, weather, and satellite pack. She uses it to check in on other agents on a secure radio line. She can also listen into other conversations on private radio waves. She can check the weather and see if a Blizzard is coming up soon.

-There's another character who wears the sunglasses. He appears to be a Stealth lead. He would go in first and check out an area to see if it was secure. He would know a bunch of secret codes, and knows a lot about self-defense.

-The third character has to be the Tech lead, but he looks so angry in the trailer. That gives me the idea that he's hot-headed and uses his tech knowledge to create explosive objects. He is the most energetic of the group, is a loud advocate against Club Herbert, and honestly could pick a fight with anyone. Even though he's hot-headed, he is still really kind to his friends. Those tech glasses he wears is used to scan locks and decode them.

So who's the Ace for me?

COMM Ace: Unlike the initial concept of Ace being cool headed, Ace actually starts out not confident in their abilities. They're very frantic when Blackout starts, as they had only been accepted into the EPF within that year. They were put in such a high leadership position because during that short time, they had shown incredible skills and knowledge. Also because they were quickly running out of agents, a decision had to be made soon.

Ace also quickly made friendships with a lot of the leaders and other notable penguins within club penguin. Their reputation grew, even if they weren't aware of it.

The kidnapping of all their friends really drive them crazy. They're really empathetic. When Ace watched Herbert, someone who they believed was just some "wanna be criminal," who tried so hard to be a threat and really wasn't, ACTUALLY scare not only themselves, but the penguins around them, and get away with major criminal activities for once, everything they believed turned upside down.
