     ♕ - While Lady Kamui’s entourage fought off the deceitful Nohrians, Eirika had been taking out guards below in the dungeons, Sieglinde severing heads of Nohrian infiltrators.

   She should have known something was amiss, but that strange small man had done such a good job at impersonating Archduke Izana that she thought it just another one of the man’s quirks when he started acting just a bit off.

   As the fighting ended and the Hoshidan royals released, Eirika lingered off to the side and listened to the conversations.  Oddly, she could not understand many of the emotions of the Hoshidans.  Lady Kamui had just turned on her own countrymen to save their hides and they still treat her like some sort of demon.

  Sometime during the interregnum, the misplaced princess managed to corner one of the Hoshidan nobles.

  “Lord... Takumi, I believe?  We have not had the pleasure of meeting.  My name is Eirika, a ward of the Archduke,” she greeted, her voice tinged with a noticeable accent.  “You have my sincerest apologies for the treatment you received in our care.  I should have been tighter on the security detail.”
